He’d be right thereI imagine he'd say both the Jets and Giants suck.
//* would he say it's rigged? At least some plays in some games could be questioned. It often only takes one or two calls or plays to change a game. Do nothing like PITT does but watch the clock run.
this guy could have jumped into ball path and tipped it. Instead he did almost nothing? I know i know, you say he didn'tknow the ball was coming. Then where's he running to? Yes, even I begin to wonder? *//
Actually, refs get more things right than they used to
My biggest gripe today is that I think they used to have a better interpretation of what a catch is.True Dat. With cameras on almost every game. Slo mo replay etc. They are forced to do better.
But the above video was a play where the player appears to not go all out letting the opposition score?
I see plays like this in strange games. Also the ball spot, the clock usage or penalties ignored or called on scoring plays (refs).
A lot of people think some games are suspicious. It seems too hard to do it? But to hit an under? Or keep a spread? It certainly looks suspicious at times.
I'm sure he would have mentioned the odd uniforms too.
Houston's helmets yesterday looked like boiled assholes. I never did figure out what was on them....Horns maybe?![]()
Archie is a fictional character.
No, that's not the one. It was the middle one.I think that was supposed to be some sort of Gothic letter 'H' for Houston. Houston Texans.
You know, because Oilers was too petro or something.
What show were you watching, cause that’s blatantly false. In later seasons, CBS changed Archie's character to nasty because too many people were identifying with his conservative views.
The Archie Bunker character was Norman Lear's Progressive stereotype of Wasps

WASP implies upper middle class and privilegedThe Archie Bunker character was Norman Lear's Progressive stereotype of Wasps
Lear got away of using WASPs as the bigots with smearing every other white group at the same time. Of course, Jews in which Lear is, were innocent of anything wrong.WASP implies upper middle class and privileged
The Bunkers were as working class as it gets

Again, the Bunkers were not WASPs
And Archie was a bigot with a heart of gold. Deep down, he didn’t really hate anyone. “Hate is bad” is the main message I got from the show. Not a bad message.
Plus, Meathead and his pseudo-intellectual smugness got put in his place every bit as often as Archie
The show was heavy handed by today’s standards. All shows from the 70s and 80s were. It was the era of the “Very Special Episode”. Subtlety wasn’t their strong suit.i suspect that the show developed away from the original vision the producer had, as fan reaction to Archie led them to realize that being too heavy handed would not be well received by the viewers.
Lost wisdom of the ancients.
