Given that there arent any communist states left, when will the US lose its fear of Communism ?

I know that anything the loons dont like is labelled as communist but the Reds arent about to invade Manhattan.

So why do some of you still sound like Joe Macarthy ?

Proper healthcare is not communism
Neither is education,or decent housing or gun control or safety nets for the poor, or libraries, or national parks or clean water or compassion or clean air.

Nope, they continued funding it while attaching pork to those war spending bills. Remember the candlelight vigils? Joan Baez broke out her little guitar and sang anti war songs? Code Pink? Cindy Sheehan and her son Cody? All of that vanished like a fart in the wind after the leftard clown posse of lying sacks of shit took control of Congress......see? I have an excellent memory.

Communism at its heart is a punitive system... its all about punishing some and favoring others. It's a breeding ground for corruption WITHOUT oversight. Healthcare and all that are fine.... that can be accomplished without a communist system.
I have a very good friend from China who has a few family members high up in the college system .. proffessors. She was explaining a bit to me how corruption happens there at the very highest levels. It doesnt matter there which side you are on, when you are approached to take a bribe.... you take the bribe. And you take the money. You dont say No because if you do someone in your family dissapears or you dissapear. And then if you are caught, you still go to prison. And the people who will arrest you are doing the same damn thing. Its a complete mess over there for all they will try to whitewash it.
This is the endgame of communism.... if you want to succeed to need to do favors and accept bribes.

We should run the other direction when people suggest there is anything noble about Communism, its a bait and switch lie. We dont want or need that around here.

Do you understand that ten years passed between the end of the Cold War and 9-11?

During that time, military spending fell and fell, as Peace reigned, more or less.


Utterly debunking the theory that military spending was driven by internal domestic forces, such as the MIC.

I did not believe it then. THey threat from the Soviet Union was pretty clear and the military spending seemed completely justified, but there was no evidence to disprove their theory.


Then the Cold War ended. And military spending dropped like a rock. Assembly lines, just built, were shut down while still brand new. Systems researched at a cost billions, finished token production "runs" and shut down for good.


I recall my one buddy, bitching of the waste of it all, and wishing for a more rational build down, so that we would not waste r&d and design and production spending, and end up with some shit, to give us some capability during the coming Long Peace.


I told him his hope was a foolish dream and that it would just be a politically driven mess, and no politician would spend an once of political capital on military spending without a major threat.



And I was right.


10 years, spending fell, profits fell, major corporations fell. This is not the type of thing that the MIC, if it really existed, would have allowed.

Communism has two classes...the elites that run it using fear and terroristic tactics and the serfs that have been unarmed. Before a country can be taken over by communism, they send in agents and find people that are sympathetic to the ideals of communism and get them to "rat out" those that will not go along. After the "revolution" those people are rounded up and tortured into giving up names of those that are also "anti-communist". Then the ones that ratted out their fellow countrymen are next on the list because once they realize that communism isn't all it was cracked up to be? They become the most dangerous to the state.
