The Tariffs

In the end we will find that trump was bluffing, which he is wont to do. Make a huge big deal, then back down. As soon as he finds a way to explain that not utilizing the tariffs puts Amerika first, we will hear about how great that, and he by proxy are.

Like Mexico? LoL

Any small price increases in the US will be more than made up by increases in domestic production.

Highly doubtful IMHO. What bothers me is that there is no consideration for the retaliation if tariffs on our exports. And the increase in domestic production might not be as great as you think. And the impact of higher inflation doesn't seem to matter to anybody.

THAT means more jobs, higher wages and increased revenue for the US. The Democrat alternative is higher taxes and a lower standard of living.

Tariffs are a tax too, just under a different name. Either way, the result is higher taxes and lower standard of living that is primarily due to greater inflation.

This is nothing but a Democrat talking point to erase the memory of REAL inflation of the Biden administration. With the current trade imbalances the US faces, tariffs will have a much greater impact on OTHER countries and will force them to modify their current trade practices. Any small price increases in the US will be more than made up by increases in domestic production.

Here’s the receipt

Exactly.... I don't think Trump intends to keep them on for any length of time. When words become ineffective one must substitute actions to make the point.

Sure worked with Mexico

No he didn't.

He just beat a big concession out of Mexico.

I have to wonder what the issue is with Mexico.
If I had to guess Mexico City probably did not want to start a war with the cartels who are just about as well armed as the Mexican army. My thought is that a few well aimed hellfire missiles at cartel cookouts might be in order.

Is it worth building a standard of living on the bodies of dead slaves in China? Does buying a mass produced Chinese good justified dumping chemicals in the yellow River that eventually kill children? You're paying less in money but paying more in ultimate cost.

Why aren't the cartels already bombed and machine gunned off the face of the earth??? We have wiped out entire countries for killing far fewer Americans. F Ukraine we have our own war to fight.

Because Dems are assholes!

I was glad to point out when Biden made decisions that I thought were good. I wasn't upset about it anything that helps the country is good no matter where it comes from.

Indeed.... The only real explanation is that they have protection from DC to a certain extent.
