If you are a capitalist your first objective is to please your fellow man by offering him a good or service, that he is free to reject, in order to earn a living.
If you are a liberal your first objective to exploit government so you don't have to please your fellow man to earn a living. You seek to earn a living by using government to steal from those who have earned a living by pleasing others.
