They nearly drown Him in the sea there were so many pushing to get closer to Him. He had to teach them by yelling from a boat. Crowds followed Him so far they would have to take breaks. And they got hungry walking so long.
One account mentions 5,000 following Him one afternoon, and that is only counting the men. The women and children count most likely surpassed the men there x 3. He sent 70 of His disciples out to various cities. He was a rock star.
Anybody that needed anything searched Him out. Even the Pharisees watched Him work miracles and didn't contest His power. So, they blasphemed the Holy Spirit by giving credit for Christ's power to Satan. But the priests knew better than to say Jesus had no supernatural power, because of the throngs of citizens watching Him do His work. And those that followed Him were willing to die rather than denounce Him, on crosses as far as the eye could see. His impact is why we still know Him today.
