I'd rather not have to argue this point but if continue to be called an idolator by Jews, I won't have a choice in the matter.as he did not meet the prophecies laid out in the Hebrew Bible.
Unless of course God thought enough of you to be born among you to fulfill the role of the actual Lamb of God.Well, IF he implied that he’s equal to Gd, that of course is blaspheme. No Jew would do such a thing.
Absolutely. But IF you follow Christ, it is your reason for lifeWould I be considered antisemetic if I responded to his accusation by saying Jews rejected the messiah?
I agree with that. But have you heard how vicious the antisemites have been to me in this forum? It’s horrible.I'm not asking you to agree with it and I'm not trying to convince you of it. I am merely trying to not have my beliefs openly and blatantly disrespected. I'm no different than you in that regard.
If he continues with that, that's exactly what I will be arguing.Yes. I would prefer you say the Jews did not believe Jesus was the messiah, as he did not meet the prophecies laid out in the Hebrew Bible.
^^^ and here is an example of what I’m talking about. This guy just won’t stop. Gives Christians a bad name.Unless of course God thought enough of you to be born among you to fulfill the role of the actual Lamb of God.
Then you rejected Him
In the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God
And the Word WAS God
"No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him"
I know how you feel because it is being done to me. No Jew has admonished him for his disrespect, so I can only assume they approve of his behavior by omission.I agree with that. But have you heard how vicious the antisemites have been to me in this forum? It’s horrible.
I wouldn’t call you an isolator. I would just call you a Christian, knowing your beliefs run contrary to Jewish teachings. OTOH, I have had Christians here - not you that I recall - keep smacking me in the face with Gospel verses.
Reminds me of an Evangelical I knew. She ended every email to me with a line about how Jesus will save, died for our sins, etc., and when I told her that she’s being disrepectful to me, she was shocked. How would she feel if I ended every email to her saying Jesus was a mortal man who can’t save anybody? It’s the double standards I object to.
No, it was a threat to Rome - just as liberals today find religion a threat to their authority. That's what Jesus was accused of. That and sorcery. That's why he was put to death.
I’m too busy defending myself against the antisemites. Have you admonished Carl in Michigan? He keeps quoting anti-Judaism Gospel verses to me, even though I’ve asked him to stop.I know how you feel because it is being done to me. No Jew has admonished him for his disrespect, so I can only assume they approve of his behavior by omission.
So far, that’s the only one I know, and only because you told me.And I would prefer that Jews not call me an idolator.
I don't agree with that. I believe God has everything under control. I work on my own salvation, not the salvation of others. How else should I interpret "wipe the dust from my sandals?"Absolutely. But IF you follow Christ, it is your reason for life
some people claim that the koran and "following DA PROFETTTT" is theAbsolutely. But IF you follow Christ, it is your reason for life
Nah….i just think secular people - almost all of whom are on the Left - have upside-down values, although I do agree that the secular Jews are among the worst.Let's get one thing straight from the start: People don't hate Jews because of theological differences. So just take that line of argument off the table.
Religious Jews are a benefit to society; secularJews are a curse. The are the worst politicians, lawyers, businessmen, entertainment producers, philosophers, pundits, and academicians. My guess is that it might have something to do with having no definitive belief in the afterlife, punishment for evil, or reward for virtue.
wipe the dust from your sandals means mom just mopped the kitchen floorI don't agree with that. I believe God has everything under control. I work on my own salvation, not the salvation of others. How else should I interpret "wipe the dust from my sandals?"
I think that is correct. One bad apple does not spoil the whole bunch. But my point is that my only defense will be to argue that the Jews rejected God. And for that you will accuse me of being antisemitic when in reality I am defending myself from the attack of a Jew.So far, that’s the only one I know, and only because you told me.
If only you were ever serious.wipe the dust from your sandals means mom just mopped the kitchen floor
I just did. But to your point that you are having to endure disrespect, it's nothing compared to what I have had to put up with from hobelim. Carl is tame compared to hobelim; both in the numbers and the level of disrespect.I’m too busy defending myself against the antisemites. Have you admonished Carl in Michigan? He keeps quoting anti-Judaism Gospel verses to me, even though I’ve asked him to stop.
Yes, accusing Jews of rejecting “Gd” is antisemitic. We love and worship Gd, as we do over blessings before we eat, over services and prayers, even when we say “Baruch Hashem” to thank Gd for a fortunate outcome. To say we reject Hashem is not true, is arrogant, is disrepectful, and shows disdain for Jews.I think that is correct. One bad apple does not spoil the whole bunch. But my point is that my only defense will be to argue that the Jews rejected God. And for that you will accuse me of being antisemitic when in reality I am defending myself from the attack of a Jew.
