I absolutely agree with you that Trump does not preach conservatism, fiscally or constitutionally or any other way. He's definitely right wing, as he definitely believes in a social hierarchy with him and his followers on top; he doesn't fight for universal equality at all.In America, the GOP has outlawed actual conservatism. They kept the name and changed the definition, without sending out the memo.
Note, Republicans, news organizations and even the RNC itself will claim that Trump is a conservative. Which he's not. Not a fiscal or constitutional conservative, that is. He's more of a new republican. (neocon).
Big spending republican. In fact, Trump is a lot close to being a moderate democrat than a conservative.
I know I'll get bashed for saying that. But only by people who support Trump because they either don't know what fiscal conservatism is, or they like big spending, big government republicans.
His main message is that everything wrong with this country is the fault of the corrupt elites who SAY they are Americans but are really just out for themselves, and of the traitors who sell us out, and the outsiders who are trying to erode our culture from within. He says that we used to be great but it's all of these people who are tearing us down so we need to FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT to Make America Great Again! Right?
He's such a strong speaker that he's good at convincing conservatives to his cause, but he's not one himself. I would call him a right-wing populist and a hard-core nationalist.
