It's daylight outside. 4:49 AM

I rarely attend parties except those involving grandkids and we don't talk about politics at parties
So you’re just a bitter old man posting hateful rhetoric on online message boards

Got it

I mean, seriously, it was a thread about watching sunrise and you felt compelled to post that tiresome shit? That’s your contribution?

In other words, don't bring politics into a message about the sunrise? I apologize if I offended you. I am neither unhappy nor bitter.

Sunrise is great, but you get too much darkness in winter. I would love living there for 6 months a year. I was speaking to a guy who went there last summer to see his sister and he was telling me how good, and inexpensive, the lobster was.

In 2007 when we first moved here, we bought 1lb lobsters at the lobster shack for $2.99 and they'd boil it for you!

Things have gone way up since then....I think we paid $9 last year for the same 1lb lobster, and this year....the Shack just reopened for summer on Mother's day and I haven't checked, but expect it to be higher, around $11/lb or higher? I live on the coast in an area where lobstermen are the biggest industry around...that and tourism.

Maine really is a wonderful place....we've been happy with everything since we moved here ....20 years ago at the end of this year. I wouldn't trade a minute, of the experience.... not even winters! And we are ....originally before moving to New England, Floridians!

You can buy live lobster in all the Maine grocery stores, in the deli section! It's a higher price than the Shack, but not by much and they will cook it for you too!

Oh, and yes! Winters are dark early....especially when the damn clocks change! But sun always rises earlier!😁

You honestly get used to it, go in to a "There's no place like home" phase and get in to cooking soups and stews and mac n cheese and bread and all those comfort foods that create heat in your kitchen, and sit around the fireplace moments, kicking off your shoes, putting on fluffy warm slippers....and take a moment to breathe.... And gain 10lbs, then Spring you lose it!

Then the first sign of Spring the fast lane begins again, only a personal fast lane, with lists of all the things you want to do or accomplish during Spring, Summer and fall, before you go in to your semi-hybernation over winter again!
