One of the early regions of Progressive Socialist Communist gerrymandering. New England now trending into a Communist mecca. And truthfully Maine is the slight laggard. New England with eight states or so and 15 federal Progressive Senators with the 16th a left-wing Republican and all federal Representatives in Congress Progressives.

Maine has precisely 2 congressional districts...there is no Gerrymandering that can be done, silly one! And as US senators we have 1 Republican, and 1 Independent who caucuses with the Dems.
And WHY in the heck are you turning my NON POLITICAL THREAD in to a political one? What is WRONG with you? Lighten up, my dear!
I did that because these forums are not sacrosanct in peace and neutrality. We will not go to the year 1850 with Republicans in charge. Maine is affected from the region. I say to you. A party who promotes children to be raped in school restrooms and another party promoting nuclear families. There are no three wings of the old Democratic Party anymore. So, if you win we get left and far of left in decisions. It is not a slight difference.

I use to think I didn't want to live any farther north than I am (So. IN) Our winters are quite mild. Not much snow, and when we do get it, it usually melts the next day. We call it "mud season".
But our summers - esp July-Sept are atrocious. High humidity regularly over 90.
I think I would take your winters just so I can get your summer. Even though it is shorter

I think I prefer it breaking daylight around 0630. It breaks day at 0535 now according to the almanac..

Sunrise was at 6:07 here in western Pennsylvania this morning, significantly later than in Maine. There are places in Michigan in the Eastern Time zone that are west of Chicago. Is it considered more healthy and wholesome to have an early sunrise- and subsequent early sunset than the reverse.

I'm really enjoying my drive into work these days. The sun hasn't breached the horizon by the time I get there, but I get some fantastic sunrise colors. I usually leave the house at 5am and get to work by 5:30
I’ve been telling these people this for a while now
