Zone1 the RCC is not from God

Again, gay men were over 80% of the problem. These are guys who lied in the vows to begin with. But the vast majority of priests can and do remain celibate. For those who don't understand the importance of self-sacrifice, this is lost on them.
Like I said, the church can decide for itself what rules to put on their clergy. What they should not do, however, is claim it's commanded in Scripture if it's not.

Are priests also prophets? AFAIK, they are different roles entirely. Shouldn't they also be forbidden to cut their hair because Sampson was?
A Priest can be a prophet if the lord calls them to it, but it isn't needed

I don’t think they said that.

I would think you would have those numbers.
A very small percent. As I recall that percent is even smaller than the percentage of married men who cannot "control themselves". That being the case, will you be arguing against marriage?

I'm not arguing against priests being celibate, that's up to the church to decide for itself. It just doesn't have Scriptural authority behind it. Paul did say it was preferable for the men of the church to remain so, but conceded it was better to marry than suffer.

Jesus said in Matthew, "Some choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Paul said much the same. The Catholic Church calls to men who can accept it.

- in the 11th century to keep the wealth from leaving the church as an inheritance to others is the origin of celibacy in the catholic church.
