I agree, there wasn't a wide ranging conspiracy. For one thing, lets say the cold warriors of the 60's were indeed afraid of what Kennedy was going to do and they had him killed. Its one thing for these staunch anti-commies to maintain this code of silence. What usually happens though is that their kids or their kid's kids seeking money or fame or both often spill the beans about their notorious family. It doesn't rise to the Kennedy Assassination of course but when I was living in Houston, there was this murder-for-hire plot involving a mother of a cheerleader over on the east side of town. She wanted to hire someone to kill the mother of one of her daughter's classmates because both her daughter and the daughter's classmate were going out for the cheer leading team at Channelview High School.

Anyway, I saw where the daughter is now telling her story in a multi-part documentary to cash in on the notoriety. People do this. So yeah, you're right, its highly unlikely that someone who was involved is going to keep it quiet for this long even if there was a vested interest at one time.

I think Lee Harvey Oswald was involved in something that was conspiratorial but he was the only conspirator in Dallas on that day. I've pointed it out here many times but the synopsis is basically this: The month before he killed JFK, he took a bus trip to Mexico City. He visited both the Cuban and Russian embassies while he was down there. This is factual. What he discussed is unknown but what I think happened was that he essentially offered his services in killing Kennedy to officials at both embassies. Russia told him to get lost, knowing that it would be WWIII. They had a robust military and were in a period of expansion during the 60's. Cuba on the other hand was and is a poor nation whose GDP is on a scale of Missouri. Still, officially they didn't want any part of it. However--again my theory--was that Oswald was told someone at the embassy who wanted to get Kennedy for the Bay of Pigs invasion to "go for it" and they would guarantee him safe passage out of the US. If you look at the chessboard...Cuba has little to lose.
