The voting rights act was gutted by SCOTUS on those grounds.
The letter explains that the Georgia legislature determines who gets the electoral votes and tells them to convene a special session for “reasons” that have nothing to do with the DoJ.
You think the AG should have signed and sent the letter despite not agreeing with anything it says, right?
It wasn't gutted, it was clarified, and it's still enforceable.
I think if there was a question of election integrity, I would hope the DOJ looks into it.
