The Optics Of Trying To Remove Trump From Office

That doesn't invalidate my point to Moron-er that the Feds can have input into State elections of a federal nature, and even State level elections themselves.

Um, that's how things are supposed to work in our society.
Not when it comes to voter fraud.
DOJ doesn't tell states what crimes to prosecute. Or what situations to investigate.

In this specific case of your side's hemming and hawing about "ruining democracy"

I would have if I was the AG. There was nothing illegal in that letter.
Well, the letter basically was saying the legislature should disregard the votes of Georgia and appoint new electors for Trump. So that doesn’t seem very democratic to me.

Do you think the AG was wrong to refuse to send the letter given he didn’t agree with the contents of it?

If I understand you correctly, you're saying that if Trump wins in 2024 then voters prefer Trump to democrats.
Of course that is what it means if Trum legitimately and honestly wins.
It is the same if Kamala wins.
It will indicate that voters prefer her to the convict.

No, the problem for you is that I know what real legitimate elections look like.

2020 was not that.
That's how Trump feels.
An election is only legitimate if he wins.

If they met, deliberated, and found fraud. you left that part out.

If he didn't want to, he should have resigned.

It violates the 10th amendment.

The fraud that the DoJ couldn’t find?

You have stated that government officials should do whatever the president orders them to do. Sending that letter would have been absolutely corrupt n

Asking for an investigation and an assembly by the legislature does no such thing.

Federal elections, while run by the States, follow the Federal Constitution.

Explain how it violates the 10th Amendment?

Not surprising in the short timeframe given between the election and the certification mandates.

I have stated no such thing. Executive officials occupy their offices at the behest of the President, if they want to refuse to perform a legal action, they can resign.

States run elections.
The only role of the federal government is through congress to set the time and place, and other rules

Yep. You did.

No, I want them to follow the lawful directions of the ELECTED President.

You want unelected bureaucrats to have veto power over an elected official.

There’s absolutely no reason for the DoJ to send this letter. It had absolutely nothing to do with their role in government. If someone in Georgia violated a federal law, they should prosecute it. If not, they have nothing to do with the matter.

The DoJ did not find any fraud so they have no reason to recommend to Georgia about what to do.

The entire thing is purely political to help Trump. That’s okay with you. To politicize the DoJ.

But they were refusing to perform an ILLEGAL act.

And you wanted them to resign, because they wanted to follow the law and the constitution.
