Boiling? What does climate change (warming or cooling) have to do with the article you posted? It clearly states that the damage is being caused by shipping, and mining, runnoff etc, not global warming or warming oceans.

You guys (warmists) have steadily fallen into this mindset of "anything that is bad must be caused by manmade climate change". It has reached a point where you don't even bother to actually read your own sources. You see a bad headline and your automoton brain says bad=man made global warming.

There is a reason that the greater proportion of the population (a steadily growing number by the way) no longer takes climate change seriously and why it didn't even register in the recent presidental elections. You can only scream that the sky is falling so many times before people simply tune you out.

Your chicken little act is beginning to seriously undermine some legitimate concerns. Runoff from coastal areas is a serious issue and deserves some equally serious consideration and action. The same is true for mining in coastal areas, and easy public access to particularly sensitive areas, and overfishing, but when you guys read about some environmental damage and make involuntary, unthinking verbal ejaculations about boiling oceans, you decrease the chance of any serious discussion and put the topic into the catergory of crazy tree hugger hysteria and as a result, the issue gets promptly ignored by a large majority of the people.

The fact is that there is little, if any evidence that climate change, (natural or manmade) is likely to harm the oceans since life has carried on there whether the climate was so warm that there was no ice anywhere or whether the earth was locked in a deep ice age. We can cause damage via other means and till you and yours grow up enough to actually state what the problem is rather than subcumming to kneejerk reactions to blame everything on man made climate change (which has yet to be proven), you risk taking some very serious issues off the table for lack of interest.

As I stated above, a large part of the problem at present is warmists kneejerk reaction of blaming everything on CO2. The sky is not falling in that regard and a majority of the population has grown quite tired of that song and simply tunes it out. Blaiming problems on fictitious disaster senarios tends to dissipate awareness of the problem.

If they would state the problem and then go on to discuss the actual cause of the problem and what might be done to address it, then meaningful discourse on the issues might be possible. At this point, it is going to be difficult though, because warmists have blamed practically everything on CO2. According to the historical record, it was 78 on today's date in 1941. On the otherside, it was 26 on this date in 1973? Honestly, which do you believe is better? At 26 degrees a whole lot more energy is being expended in the form of fuel and electricity to keep warm while 78 is nice weather to open the windows.

The honest truth is that nothing in the present climate is unprecedented when compared to the historical record. It has been much warmer, and it has been much colder. Warm is better for life and much less expensive in terms of energy use.
