It has nothing to do with Obama's plan, which was Toro's point. It's the natural cycle of the economy. Recessions like this are a necessary evil in economics, and presidents and Congress are always blamed, although they are powerless against such things. So that when the economy turns over, the President in office gets all the glory, although they have nothing to do with the change.

The current economic situation is on Bush's hands, in whatever amount of responsibility he has in it.... granted there are other influences including the mortgage mess, (which has some Bush responsibility for not fixing a few years back when given the opportunity, but has other fingerprints going back to Clinton and Carter as well) speculations and fear in the market, etc

Is it logical to have fear on the upcoming impact of Obama on the economy? Yes... is it right to blame any current situation on him? No

A single payer system is not government control. The government acts as the insurance company, but you still choose your doctor and your doctor still decides your care.
