George Reeves may have not been the best Superman but he made the best Clark Kent.

Many versions interpret “mild mannered reporter” to mean gay. Christopher Reeve’s Clark Kent is an example.

I’ve read that the reason that show relied so heavily on the Clark/Lois as reporters angle was to save money on special effects.

But the show was probably better for it

One could write a pretty good sized pamphlet describing all of the just-too-preposterous aspects of the Superman character. Reading (or watching) science fiction requires that the reader set aside his disbelief in one key area (e.g., time or space travel), but beyond that the characters should act as rational beings according to the stimuli of the story.

Starting with the fact that adding a pair of glasses makes Superman unrecognizable as Clark Kent...

I can no longer watch it, regardless of who plays the title role.

Plus, those sites complaining about the movie being “woke” is not the same thing as them claiming the move is a box office or critical flop.

Either the movie is a financial success or it isn’t. It’s one or the other.

It’s earned 217 million so far. Therefore it is a success. Whether you like the movie or not is irrelevant to that fact.

It’s something that is factual. Not an opinion or something that can be argued.
