The new Superman....................what do you think?

There is an old sci-fi story called "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex" that addresses that problem.

I remember reading a “what-if” Superman comic in the early nineties that speculated what would happen if Lois Lane became pregnant with Superman’s child. In the story, Lois was killed by the super-strong fetus kicking inside her.

Once you take away the objective of "The American Way", how can he still be Superman?

THey need to rename him to some other character name because Superman is a legend. You don't destroy core concepts of a character in that manner.

Kryptonians only have super powers when exposed to the light of a yellow sun.

Krypton had a red sun, that is why none of them had super powers on their home planet.

Otherwise they could have just, like, flown into outer space and found a new world when krypton blew up. Under a red sun they were as powerless as you or I.

In the pregnant Lois scenario, the fetus still was exposed to yellow sun rays via the umbilical connection with his mother who, of course, was exposed to the sun everyday.
