The new left using Christian belief as a cudgel

The OP states Noah's Ark is a parable. Then notes that there is some evidence it is not.

How is one suppose to address that?

Recently there is a bent on the extreme left today to use peoples faith against them, as though it is somehow uneducated to have faith in God…One of the ways they do this is simply asking someone if they believe the story of Noah’s ark.

And without going into great detail, we know that the story from Genesis is a parable, in many ways symbolic of Jesus. However, some interesting discoveries on Mt. Ararat in Turkey point to it possibly being a true story…

So, what say you friends? Is Noah’s Ark a true story? Or just a parable meant to point people towards Gods salvation?

And, what do we think of people trying to use this story to mock others here?

You go first. What is your take? :dunno:

I think it's funny that being reminded of basic Christianity makes the right feel like they've been bludgeoned by a cudgel
There would be no Christians if they acted as you suggest. Christianity exists with rules. You want no rules. Christianity also is infected with rules y men. The money changers are so many groups now. The media. The entertainers. The politicians. The elites. The financiers. The tech giants and industrialists. And more of the same. Any corrupted Religion is just part of it.

You actually believe that Noah’s ark was a literal boat that literally held two of every animal in existence?

It’s a children’s story…..

Do you think it’s a parable or “maybe possible”?

Which of those you believe says a lot about your intelligence

You have no clue what you are ranting over.

If you read the discoveries saying there is evidence for an ark, how then do you still believe it can only be a parable

Yes, it confuses you that there can be multiple opinions. If it isn't in your Manifesto it's not real.

While in college I took a class titled Intro to Religion. It focused on the beliefs of followers in all the major religions and was taught by a Catholic priest. When we were studying Catholicism he explained to us the allegorical nature of the Bible. That the mistake people frequently make is to take it literally.

What’s really happening is the left pointing out when the Christian right is being unChristian. They can’t handle it, because they know we’re right.

In the Mesopotamian Epic of Gilgamesh, the Great Flood is a pivotal tale of divine destruction and survival told to King Gilgamesh by Utnapishtim, a mortal who attained eternal life. It is widely recognized as one of the oldest recorded flood myths in human history. [1, 2, 3]
