Alan Lomax is the only one I can think of, he has an album entitled "Negro Prison Songs" Probably not the same thing, although both volumes are pretty good. Almost a cross between Leadbelly and Showboat.The ClayTaurus said:
As for my favorites, I have several, Buddy Guy is at the topic of the list, Muddy Waters, Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Sonny Terri, Tamap Red....I listen to them a lot.
