The metaphorical wrecking ball analogy takes a physical form.

Of all the stupid shit, childish idiocy I think this one takes the cake. Trump is using the rubble from the East wing for some golf course construction I guess. Obviously it's being used as landfill.
And this is causing an uproar?

I mean I kind of half agreed with the people who oppose taking down a piece of History... Although from what I've been reading it's been known for some time that the White House needed some type of high capacity, official reception room and really did not have one.

Aside from the fact that I disagree vehemently with Trump on his interior decoration choices it's probably a pretty good idea.

Was it necessary to take down the East wing?
I have no idea.

But rubble is rubble.... Does the media actually think anyone is going to get all twisted up and lose sleep over where the East Wing runble goes?

I mean, how the hell do you disrespect rubble? Lol. Is there some legal motion afoot to charge Trump with theft of government property because he used the rubble in a particular way?

If he decided to move it to a special dedicated Park called the East Wing rubble Park he would be criticized for that too I'm sure.

It's a part of the grift

You have to call it how you see it. No other president would have done such an egregious and illegal act. You are blind and if you can't see that. The White House is a national treasure. Trump did not have the right to do this . He is only a temporary occupant of the people's house.
Cite the statute violated.

If Trump had not spent the last ten months turning the American presidency into a combination of classic Mafia family and modern neofascist regime, and if he had been demonstrating some calm reason, intelligence, decency and the SLIGHTEST HINT of maturity to his overall approach to governance, I suspect this issue would not be nearly as controversial as it has been.

But he has decided to go down that road. It appears to be all he knows. So yeah, people outside his cult are going to be a little touchy about stuff in general. That's the way it goes. Human nature.
Lies.

dear OP,

one might be concerned if such rubble contains asbestos AND, from all indications - no such precautions were taken either before demolition, or during; thus putting workers, staff, & the surrounding public at risk for some really bad health problems.

sincerely,
playtime.

ps ( donny hates pesky regulations, & it looks like he kinda skipped right over them.

Probably not.....
If you know anything about demolition or construction you know that nothing can be done unless it's properly licensed. Even though DC is under Federal control they still have to maintain a local licensing board complete with inspections department staffed with inspectors. I've done demolition myself... you have to sign on the dotted line when it comes to rubbish/rubble removal.... One of the very specific requirements is the handling of hazardous waste.

No kidding, what "indications" are you seeing?

Damn, some of you need to have your eyes checked. The article clearly states that dirt was moved to the golf course, not rubble. My guess is there weren't any DEI hires, so any rubble being moved was tested and disposed of properly if any asbestos was detected.
Bingo
No kidding, what "indications" are you seeing?
T..errifying. D ...onald S...tories.

There is nothing in law that requires you to support such corrupt self-dealing.

Also nothing in law preventing Congress from impeaching Trump and/or his lackeys for it.
That's what I mean.
The joke impeachment were in a league of their own.
We'd have one going now, except for Congress.

The facade of the East Wing of the White House came crumbling down on Monday as construction began on President Trump’s 90,000-square-foot ballroom, a project that will transform one of the most recognizable buildings in the world and nearly double the size of the existing structure.

Oh dear ...... WAPO supporting Donald Trump?

Say it isn't true......

The Washington Post editorial board defended President Donald Trump‘s ballroom construction on Sunday and argued that the next Democratic president would be happy to have the ballroom.

“In classic Trump fashion, the president is pursuing a reasonable idea in the most jarring manner possible. Privately, many alumni of the Biden and Obama White Houses acknowledge the long-overdue need for an event space like what Trump is creating. It is absurd that tents need to be erected on the South Lawn for state dinners, and VIPs are forced to use porta-potties,” the editorial board wrote.
