The metaphorical wrecking ball analogy takes a physical form.

Yep..... your people really took it into the tank.
They don't know yet

Which apparently the Democrats

have considered already.

Oh dear ...... WAPO supporting Donald Trump?

Say it isn't true......

The Washington Post editorial board defended President Donald Trump‘s ballroom construction on Sunday and argued that the next Democratic president would be happy to have the ballroom.

“In classic Trump fashion, the president is pursuing a reasonable idea in the most jarring manner possible. Privately, many alumni of the Biden and Obama White Houses acknowledge the long-overdue need for an event space like what Trump is creating. It is absurd that tents need to be erected on the South Lawn for state dinners, and VIPs are forced to use porta-potties,” the editorial board wrote.

Is WAPO one of the donors?

The WH has been taken over by criminals. They sue the government for enforcing the law and then smile as they collect from our tax money. Criminal Scum
Aw Jimmy, all the criminals have either quit, resigned, been fired or are now enjoying the indictment process.

The DubPost dumpster ?
No way.
I looked it up and No, they are not currently a donor, but who knows, after this position that they've taken, maybe they will be. I would never have guessed that Amazon, Microsoft, META and the Google boys would have donated, but they did.

The white house doesn't collect taxes
they enforce the laws through the irs.

No kidding, what "indications" are you seeing?

the lack of proof it was safe. usually when asbestos is revoved, there are curtains/tents to make sure it doesn't go airborne. have YOU seen any of that? where is the EPA finding prior to demolition? oh ya.....elon ended them all & those left are probably furloughed.

bezo paid donny a million to support him....

Donald Trump is the DEFINITION of a leader. You obviously hate him but if you can't even acknowledge the obvious you are hopeless.

That’s really pathetic.

You either know nothing about Trump outside of his carefully tended facade, or you thin leadership is bellowing, lying, threats, corruption.

I guess every boss you ever has yelled at you and bullied you.

I can’t explain it any other way.

Congress is useless. trump took their duties and they let him. Good Grief, the House doesn't even meet anymore.

Typical of you to try and mislead.

In actual fact, Trump had the entire East Wing demolished, not just your red circle.

Moreover, every sketch of the propsed ballroom is also several orders of magnitude larger than the small circle you falsely portray it as being.

How small

Hard to tell. It doesn’t take much looking before you realize that the images that we have been shown are AI fakes. none of the deminisions match. Windows don’t line up.

I sincerely doubt that there is an actual plan at this point. The fakery is trademark Trump.

Part of White House Is Reduced to Rubble. Trump’s Ballroom Will Rise in Its Place.

The facade of the East Wing of the White House came crumbling down on Monday as construction began on President Trump’s 90,000-square-foot ballroom, a project that will transform one of the most recognizable buildings in the world and nearly double the size of the existing structure.

Having already changed so much about the way Washington works, he is increasingly changing the way Washington looks.

The East Wing was one of the last pieces of the White House complex he hadn’t yet started to make over in his own image. The Oval Office is dripping in gold and so is the Cabinet Room. The Rose Garden looks like Mar-a-Lago. There are massive flag poles in the backyard and in the front. He’s been tweaking the White House residence upstairs, too. He’s directing renovations at the Kennedy Center, and now he wants an Arc de Triomphe-style arch built on the other side of the Potomac.

It has been referred to as the "people's house." But as with everything else in the country trump is trying to rebrand it. Words can not express my disgust.

It's apparently not enough that he's tearing down the legal and ethical foundation of the country. He wants to destroy a physical manifestation of our history as well.

You can't explain it any other way because you are part of the group think collective. You have been programmed to think leadership is playing along and keeping the status quo. You wouldn't know REAL leadership if it kicked you in the ass.

Some of my best coaches, teachers and bosses were tough, demanding and in your face. They brought out the best in me because I'm not a simpering *****. Apparently you have no idea what I'm talking about.

White House East Wing Demolition: A Teachable Moment for Asbestos Transparency, Prevention, and Safety

October 23, 2025 ADAO Letter to President Trump — Formal Demand for Disclosure of All Environmental and Worker-Safety Documentation Related to the East Wing Demolition

EPA
and OSHA standards set a national benchmark for responsible, transparent construction, demolitions, and repairs, and they are important standards that the White House should uphold and model. Public documentation of compliance demonstrates how high-profile, privately funded projects uphold the worker-protection and environmental-safety laws that are expected of every job site in America. So far, there has been no public announcement of such compliance.

The project, reportedly designed by McCrery Architects, is being led by firms such as Clark Construction and AECOM, both known for large-scale federal work. Firms with this level of experience should follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations for asbestos and lead testing, abatement, and worker protection.

Under these standards:

  • EPA rules require a complete asbestos inspection before demolition or renovation, written notification to authorities, and strict work practices to prevent asbestos fibers from escaping into the air.
  • OSHA standards require worker protection from airborne asbestos, silica, and lead through exposure assessments, respirators and protective clothing, regulated work areas, and training and medical surveillance.
  • EPA–OSHA coordination ensures that hazardous materials are safely removed by experts, air quality is monitored during work, and waste is sealed, labeled, and disposed of at approved hazardous-waste facilities.
These requirements are standard on all federal demolition projects and are designed to prevent exposure to dangerous, toxic substances like asbestos, to protect lives, and ensure environmental compliance. To date, these documents, if they exist, have not been publicly disclosed.

The National Capital Planning Commission has not granted final project authorization and is currently inactive due to the federal shutdown. No oversight body has publicly confirmed that environmental safety reviews have been conducted.
