The metaphorical wrecking ball analogy takes a physical form.

Breaking FAKE News.

George Santos contributed $1,000 to the Trump ballroom project last month.

No word if he received anything in return.

That's the problem. Pardons, special tariff breaks, FCC approvals, dropping DOJ prosecutions.

There could be any number of things they get for their contributions.

But we'll never know, unless we know who gave what.
In the past, there would be a public announcement looking for donors
Corporate sponsors, foundations, mom and pop donors, children.

All we have from Trump is a vague statement that he is contributing along with other “Patriotic Donors”

$200 million just magically appears overnight.
Sounds bogus

First of all Trump isn't tearing the white house down he's renovating it. Second of all he lives there, and third of all the last time I checked he's the president of The United States and he can do whatever he wants to as he's not breaking any laws.

I think that it looks beautiful.

Because they’ve been told to have a fit. It really is that simple.

It's like when he sold his Trump Coins,.
Buy over $100,000 in exchange for a group dinner with the president. And for the top buyers (multi million dollar range) A personal dinner with the president.

Secret donors and Trump will not even say how much he is donating.
Can’t even show any public announcement asking for donors.
Sounds bogus
What do donors receive in return?

Sounds like that “free airplane” that was donated
That is exactly it. And now, to the point, it is like, "in your face", yeah! We gots a ballroom. Damn it, the Queen has a ballroom, we want a ballroom. I mean it don't work that way cowboy, it don't.

And no one understands. This is the East Wing entrance. This is where, at least until now, tour groups came in. I haven't been, don't know, but the area was filled with portraits, paintings, hell--probably, something Dolley Madison protected. Now, where? For real, One of Trump's homes? Honestly, worth asking.

Like people donating to Clinton’s campaign and then they got to stay the night in the White House Hotel’s Lincoln bedroom!

If you think Donald Trump can get bought off for $1,000, that's on you, not him.

Mainly because they respect the long standing American tradition (as envisioned by George Washington) that thevPresiden’t official residence should not be a palace.

Additions and renovations have always been carefully and extensively reviewed before being approved.

Trump not only wants to be king, he wants a palace.

His office is now decorated in the best whorehouse baroque, and he wants to spread his vulgar taste across the federal system.

Of course Trumpsters, who worship their king, reject the 249 year old idea that the White House belongs to the people and not the wannabe king.

I do t see what you’re upset about. Democrats will be diddling kids in the ballroom when they get back in power.

How are the Republicans acting like babies though?

I classify a vast number of threads here on the political and current event discussion board as in the form of "my dad can beat up your dad" silliness. This is just one of the many where if the situation was switched, I'd expect to see a 180° change most reactions.

True but usually I understand why,..to a point. This time I don't. What's wrong with having a place for people to have parties and dance? I just don't get it. Maybe they're envious of how rich and powerful he is and that he can make it happen or something.
If you understand why then you're doing better than the rest of us.

Like people donating to Clinton’s campaign and then they got to stay the night in the White House Hotel’s Lincoln bedroom!

Did they get a personal audience with the President?

NO !!!!

So it's not like selling "access" like Hunter Biden was accused of.

You're right. Currently it takes $100,000 or more to buy group access to Trump.
And over $2,000,000 to buy personal access to Trump.

No word yet on how much a pardon goes for.

But FCC approvals go for $16,000,000

Were there donors for Barry’s basettball court?

Where are you getting that idea from?
