The ruling class are all the capitalists who impoverish people as they seek to maximize profits. They created the welfare class and leave it to the public to pick up the broken pieces. No I didn't. I didn't say you owned it. Only that you are free to use it while you exist. You don't have the ability to bequeath it.

You just agreed that the community would divide up the land and allocate it to each member and allow them to control what was done with it. That arrangement is called private property. If you can't bequeath it, then you don't control it. If you can't bequeath it, then you are more than likely to wring all the value out of it before you die and leave a used up wasteland behind.

By its very definition Socialism is not voluntary.

In principle, it does permit for voluntary socialism. The problem is that people will never be allowed to opt out. It'd be hard to establish a truly voluntaryist society.Likely impossible.

The socialists are never going to allow someone to provide for themselves or to keep what they produce. The socialists know that their system will fail, so they go and take your property at the barrel of a government gun in order to support their program.

A lot of different people from different walks of life tend to flock under the libertarian tent. That's the reason I started this thread. It's just a troll thread, really, but not entirely. I kind of told a half-truth there in the op for no other reason to see what kind of response I got. I was reading an old debate in one of my other circles where we have a bunch of anarchists, anarcho-capitalists, paleocons,neocons, big L libertarians, traditional libertarians, and just a whole big mess.

It's really why libertarianism never went anywhere as a political endeavor.

I left it as a movement. Though, I'm a fan of voluntaryism.
