The Japs Attacked Pearl Harbor - Dec. 7th. Everybody Remember ?

2 days from now is Dec 7th - the "day that will live in infamy", President Roosevelt described it. Thousands of Americans were killed, rivaled in size and horror only by 9/11. Attacks against the US of major magnitude on US soil are rare, and as such are unforgettable.

Why this is relevant now, is because just as it was with the Japs in 1941, it is exactly that way now with Hamas and others of their ilk, with the danger that they pose. The combination of the Israel-Hamas War, aid being given to Israel, US warships in the Mediterranean, and the wide open Mexican border is a powder keg of combustible ingredients. It opens up the strong possibility, if not probability, of chemical, biological, and/or nuclear attacks, in US cities, that could kill millions of Americans.

Making the whole situation worse is, instead of have a strong, protective president, inspiring fear & respect from enemies around the world (as it was with President Trump), we now have a weak, fearful, senile, idiot president, with his brains falling out of his head, thereby encouraging enemies to attack us.

To bad the Capitol Police were not there to shoot any unarmed Japanese women.

With Afghanistan would also include the Soviet invasion in 1979?

Here is a hint that you might find important. Try making sense. Afghanistan and the Soviet Union have nothing to do with the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan.

To bad you make no sense
As YOU made "no sense", when you ludicrously said that I issued an "ugly racial slur", (post # 20), and then you were too cowardly to defend your accusation.

YOU USED A RACIAL SLUR. Nothing new in that. To use such language demostrates a total lack of feeling or understanding.

A WWII Slur is still a slur.

The suspicion is that FDR allowed for Pearl Harbor to happen in order to gin up American enthusiasm to enter the war and use war production as the means to get America out of its prolonged depression. That obviously worked. There was more than ample warning to prepare for the attack. Plus, the Japanese primary targets, the US carriers, were conspicuously moved out to sea just before the attack.
This concept became the template for the democrats inciting and using the capital riot as a means to disparage the trump movement. IMO.

An attack by carriers on a Sunday morning had been war-gamed some years prior.

Wow. This really is a crazy chatboard.

Enterprise-delivering planes to Wake:
Enterprise: On 28 November 1941, Admiral Husband E. Kimmel sent TF-8, consisting of Enterprise, the heavy cruisers Northampton(CA-26), Chester (CA-27), and Salt Lake City (CA-24) and nine destroyers under Vice Admiral William F. Halsey, Jr., to ferry 12 Grumman F4F-3 Wildcats of Marine Fighting Squadron (VMF) 211 to Wake Island. Upon completion of the mission on 4 December, TF-8 set course to return to Pearl Harbor. Dawn on 7 December 1941 found TF-8 about 215 miles west of Oahu.
Lexington: delivering planes to Midway
Lexington: On 5 December 1941, TF-12, formed around Lexington, under the command of Rear Admiral John H. Newton, sailed from Pearl to ferry 18 Vought SB2U-3 Vindicators of Marine Scout Bombing Squadron 231 to Midway Island. Dawn on 7 December 1941 found Lexington, heavy cruisers Chicago (CA-29), Portland (CA-33), and Astoria (CA-34), and five destroyers about 500 miles southeast of Midway. The outbreak of hostilities resulted in cancellation of the mission and VMSB-231 was retained on board [they would ultimately fly to Midway from Hickam Field on 21 December].
Saratoga: Returning from overhaul.
Saratoga: The Saratoga, having recently completed an overhaul at the Puget Sound Navy Yard, Bremerton, Washington, reached NAS San Diego [North Island] late in the forenoon watch on 7 December. She was to embark her air group, as well as Marine Fighting Squadron (VMF) 221 and a cargo of miscellaneous airplanes to ferry to Pearl Harbor.
Other carriers were in the Atlantic:
Yorktown (CV-5), Ranger (CV-4) and Wasp (CV-7), along with the aircraft escort vessel Long Island (AVG-1), were in the Atlantic Fleet; Hornet (CV-8), commissioned in late October 1941, had yet to carry out her shakedown. Yorktown would be the first Atlantic Fleet carrier to be transferred to the Pacific, sailing on 16 December 1941.

As I said, the carriers were out to sea. What’s so difficult to understand?

Thats not a great conspiracy. The carriers were, and are now, almost always at sea. The battleships were there because they were too slow and too expensive for contuous operations. A reminder, these weren't the fast battleships like SoDac, North Carolina and Ching Lee's great USS Washington. Those were out on operation too.

The Japanese objective was to cripple the American carrier force.

It supports the idea that FDR expected and allowed the attack on Pearl Harbor.
So it PROVES nothing. Good.

Only if you can show the missions given to the carriers were out of the ordinary.'
