Zone1 The issue of abortion for the Christian regarding politics

That science was interesting.. can't say I understand the T cell thing much, but I got the part about how the body changes for the sake of the baby.

Fearfully and wonderfully made, as the Bible says.

So how old is the "product of conception" now? lol
She's in her 30's.

wow... I'll bet you often wonder what life would have been like w/ o her (if things hadn't turned out so well)?

I sometimes think of how my life would have been different if I hadn't done this or that... like: after I prayed the rosary. The rosary really changed EVERYTHING for me.. long, sometimes bizarre story..

Oh boy.

No.

I love her dearly and that part will never change.

But if you knew the whole story, LOL.

I better leave it at that.

Ding, what is it that you think many of us are working towards, if it is not a federal law to protect the children who are (for now) being denied?
You tell me what federal law you want passed.

Many of the Christians I know personally support abortion - some for health reasons, other for more complex life / moral issues / values. Bringing a child into the world requires responsibility and care, some cannot provide that and the idea of giving your child to another doesn't work for them. As for being a democrat or republican, they vary and vote for the person who supports all Americans. If Christians supported life they would vote for and support institutions and people who support life. IMO democrats support all while republicans are primarily for the well to do. Consider those in need at our southern border as an example of the complexity of morality and help - what would Jesus do.

Scripture tells us to obey man's laws (just not if said laws violate the laws of God). So I don't want to hear about how we should allow foreigners to violate our laws by crashing our border and raping and murdering our citizens, which obviously is not something God approves of.

Actually, I was wondering about this even as I wrote what I said, wondering if she may not have exactly made life .. uh... more "blessed" for you. I know all too well how loved ones can tear up your life (or however you say it). I could write a HUGE book on that one.

But you can always pray for her. I will pray for her when I pray the rosary, which is the most powerful prayer on Earth outside of the Holy Mass. You may not be Catholic so I won't go on further (you may think I'm trying to coerce you into becoming Catholic or something... ). Actually, I wish I could coerce people into it because there are blessings there you cannot find anywhere else...

Anyway, I will pray for your entire family. I don't know your name, but God does... I'm sure He'll know who I am thinking of... :)

Can you thumb nail it for me?

You tell me what federal law you want passed.

A reasonable expectation, ding

This is the best I can do at the moment, rough draft, cut, paste and edit job on USMB. I actually thank you for this post.

Something for me to share with lawmakers, after it's further refined

Only a fool would decline a well-intended prayer.

That’s never going to happen. Abortion has never been adjudicated as a homicide.

Yeah, and Roe and Casey were never going to be overturned.

Good luck with your mission.
Thanks.

I don't need luck, though.

Persistence has gotten me (the cause) this far. I'm not alone in the effort, either.

Not quite the same thing as making abortion a homicide which is what your mission seems to be.
When it is established that personhood begins at Conception and children in the womb are constitutionally entitled to the equal protection of our laws, it is inevitable that most elective abortions will be criminalized.

That's partly how "equal protection" is achieved.

Your mission is punishment.

Your mission is punishment.
Your not only wrong about that, it's kind of creepy, the way you are so focused on it.

I have posts here on USMB where I have said "if proponents of abortion would just admit abortions kill children, they can have all the abortions they want." As far as I'm concerned.

My mission is to stop that denial.

Your mission is to make abortion a homicide. That’s punishment driven.
