Zone1 The Great Difficulty Of Being Religious.....

We can own a religion discussion without being abusive, rude, and breaking the rules.

Most of the Christians can't and they find refuge in falling silent.

Now would be a good time to have this thread closed or moved to the badlands.
Honestly, religious people are always very abuaive and rude in their rhetoric and us non-believers often treat them with way too much respect without being rewarded with anything but condescension in return.

When some claims DiVoNe ReVeLaTiOn is a superior means of attaining knowledge one deserves ridicule.

If they can call gays and trans people demons and women who have abortions murderers, they can take being called hateful.

Oh Please. :auiqs.jpg:

It was very seductive, a soft seductive whisper in Eve's head. Women are the principal target of such seduction. Their minds are on the same wavelength as the seducers.
w-w-waaaait.. Ehm. I will ignore the disgusting misogyny here this time and just ask you why God wouldn't hardwire her brain to be at least on the same wavelength as that of a snake... Gaaasp..... Did... Did God fail? :O

Uh oooooh.

A well-known fact of life isn't misogyny.

All according to the Plan that God is working out here below.

Same poster in the same breath: "women are less intelligent than snakes."

Like Ibsaid, nothing is as hateful as Christian love.
Eve's undeveloped intellect was no match for the smartest angel in the universe. She was a pushover.

That would be a waste of my time trying.

I've already gotten pleasure out of just putting up the challenge to literal believers.
We accept the story on faith. Christians don't lie awake agonizing over it.

More Christian condescension. Yuck. "God's plan"... Tell that to the family who just lost their kid to cancer.
God doesn't protect us from everything, that's in the fine print of the Plan.

To me the story of Eve and Adam is one of Heroine and Gullible. Eve displays curiousity, bravery and willingness to question status quo -- "Why in God's name can't I taste those juicy looking fruits?"

Adam was passive and submissive like most citizens of dictarorships. Like most living in dictatorships he too thought Eden was Paradise. Like most citizens of dictatorships he too feared "The Leader'" wrath.

Eve took a bite snd found a whole new world. She even shared an orgasm with Adam.

Eve is a hero.

Let's cut the god some slack. He made a very big mistake and then he had to slaughter every living thing on his planet.

Good plan!

Eve's story was the first 'tragedy'.

Well, he's not a genie that you can summon every time you have a hangnail.
I did not ask what he is not. Why do you religious people always define God by telling what he isn't instead of what he is? Don't you know how definitions work?

We follow that plan all the time. Lately by killing chickens that have bird flu.

That's his MO, as the fossil record shows. Happily for us he won't do it again.
