The GOP’s manic obsession with Hillary Clinton grows

jillian :dunno:

hey jill, if hillary runs for president, i am wondering whether she could have bill as her VP or secretary of state...? are there rules limiting ex presidents from such positions??

hey Valerie nah.. .bill can't be her VP because you have to be eligible to be president to be VP. Secretary of State... he could, but I doubt he'd want that and doubt his health is good enough for that.

thanks, i just dug up this old article on the topic...

lol @ VP Bill? Depends on Meaning of 'Elected'

The prospective presidential candidacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton has given rise to plenty of speculation about the notion of Bill Clinton as the nation's first gentleman. But what about another role? How about, say, vice president?

...

As the former president might say, it all depends on the meaning of the word "elected." Under Article II of the Constitution, a person is "eligible to the Office of President" as long as he or she is a natural-born U.S. citizen, at least 35 years old and a resident of the United States for 14 years. The 12th Amendment says "no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President."

Okay, so that means if you're not eligible to be president, you're not eligible to be vice president. Makes sense. What would be the point of electing a vice president who can't succeed the president in case of death, incapacity or vacancy?

But then Congress and the states added the 22nd Amendment in 1951 to prevent anyone from following the example of Franklin D. Roosevelt, who won four terms. That's where things get dicey. "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice," the 22nd Amendment says.

On its face, that seems to suggest that Clinton could be vice president because he is only barred from being elected president a third time, not from serving as president.

:dunno:

The Republicans are obsessed with Hillary? LOL. She's all the socialists have talked about since Obama's reelection as their next great white hope and she's not even going to end up running.

Let us pray she does run... you better pray she doesn't. :eusa_pray:

Why on earth would I pray she run? She hasnt done a thing in her life that makes her qualified to be President.

What's not to like about Hillary's chances of running and winning the POTUS? Hillary will win the women vote hands down. She will capture the black vote 9 to 1 and the Latino voters easily. Young voters will flock to her side with ease.

The only detractors will be the the angry white males... you know, the old crackers, the good ole boys (the up and coming new minority).
Like Sarah Palin won the women's vote? Blacks will not turn out to vote for her like they did Obama. That is a fantasy. And why would young voters turn out to hit the lever for a 70 year old fat aging hag with nothing but empty promises?

My friend, Hillary Clinton is no Sarah Palin. Blacks will vote for Hillary in record numbers. Young voters will also vote for Hillary in record numbers as will Latinos. But the blockbuster for Hillary will be the women voters.

All Ted Cruz (or whomever) will get is the angry white male vote and fellow dittohead voters.

In other words, Democrats will run gimmick candidates to win elections and stay in power instead of the best candidate for the job. After you get the first black president and the first woman president, what is next? Perhaps the first transgendered president?

The obsession is on the Democrat's side.
I just hate her because she's a lying bitch and responsible for four American deaths in Afghanistan and several more in the United States.

The Republicans are scarred shitless of Hillary Clinton and it shows... it shows! :D

The GOP's obsession with Hillary Clinton grows | MSNBC

MSNBC? Seriously? Of course they think the RNC is obsessed with Hillary. In truth, it's the left who are wetting their pants over the possibility of her running. To them, she is the foregone conclusion for next POTUS. Republicans aren't afraid. They are hoping you guys run her. Hell, they are praying that you run her. She has so many anchors tied around her neck, it will be easy to drown her. Run Hillary run!

YES! Run Hillary run for POTUS! :eusa_pray:

If Billary does get the runs, I hope she/he is wearing Depends.

not worried. Hillary will fall on her face in primary. She is not far enough to the left for Democrats.See Howard Dean. another women or minority will rise to the top. One things for sure, it wont be a white male.

Let's hope it's not another white male. We've had our fill of white male Presidents to last us a few hundred years. No more crusty old white males for quite a while please.

What America needs next is women president (Hillary) and then a Hispanic president, followed by an Indian (Native American), an Oriential, a Muslim, an Indian (from India) and so on and on.

I agree. Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson and Bobby Jindal will make excellent Presidents

Because clearly, a persons race/ethnicity is what qualifies someone to be a good leader, not character or merit.

And somehow that makes us the racists. Go figure.

No what america needs is to ignore bigots like yourself, that label and pigeon hole people for their on selfish needs.

Race ,gender and or religious beliefs ,are irrelevant, ability and integrity are all that is needed.

The Kid looks a style and is easily swayed with a fiery speech, while real thinkers look for substance.

LOL... submitted for your approval boys and girls, the mindset of a typical conservative who relegates blacks and women as ... "gimmicks"!

Thank you wing-nut. :eusa_clap:

It will be like throwing meat to perahannas if she runs. She has no chance of winning at all. And 5 words would torpedo her campaign in its first day. "What difference does it make" would be on the bumper of every car. It would also be mentioned repeatedly that when the 3AM call she mentioned in her last attempt came she fell down and hit her head. And the sixty billion dollars that got lost under her watch will also be mentioned to. So it would be a blood bath. So much ammo that her own party will use against her.

But the people who do not understand and are not willing to understand the context of those 5 words, they weren't going to vote for her anyway. Probably the same people who think President Obama told them they didn't build their businesses too. That worked out well for the GOP too didn't it?

Conservatives use of 4 dead Americans to further their r-wing extremist agenda has been duly noted and will be duly noted again come election time.

Liberals refusal to take responsibility and give adequate explanation as to why 4 Americans died needlessly noted.
If that were the only negative to Hillary the Dems might have a prayer. But as it is, she has zero accomplishments and a history of lies and deceit. IOW, the perfect Democrat!

There not huh?
Then they should have never of had to sermonize him at all huh?

no one is sermonizing him. they tell the truth about him.

but please, you run him for president. we're begging....

I figure he gets votes from the winger 20% of the population that thought the temper tantrum of the right in shutting down the gubmint was ok.

everyone else pretty much knows he's self-serving scum... including his own party.

That is the problem with the left who think that the news and lefty politicians are telling the truth when the aren't.
The left are masters at spinning, attacking and lying. Yet the left can't seem to recognize it.
The right know which ones in their party are not telling the truth about things, but the left buy into whatever the media and Democrats say.

It was the Democrats who shut down the Government when Democrats refused to negotiate on a temporary delay on the Health Care - and what did Obama do right after that? Did a Temporary delay of the health care and blamed the Republicans for the shut down and the media went right along with it.
It's amazing and sad at how the left can't see this.

You did that my friend. I simply pointed it out for the class to see. You followed up with a list of other ethnicities that you seem to think qualifies them to lead the nation. Does it physically hurt to be such a racist dumbass as you are?

Everyone who heard it understood the context immediately. She was getting grilled about something that happened under her watch and she tried to play the, "that isn't important" card in her little indignant tirade. It makes a difference Hillary, a hell of a difference and you showed your colors when you tried to pass it off. The context was clear.

I bet you were very upset at the President for claiming you didn't build your business weren't you?

The GOP's obsession with Hillary Clinton grows | MSNBC

First “brain damage,” now “failure to report for duty?

”Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Sunday said Hillary Clinton should be “disqualified” from running for president because she declined to appear on five Sunday news shows days after the deadly 2012 attack at the American embassy in Benghazi, Libya

Then-UN Ambassador Susan Rice went on the shows in her place, explaining that Clinton was too exhausted to make an appearance after a “grueling” week.

Not quite as obsessed as some libs have been with tea party and conservative talk radio.

Pot calling the kettle black once again.

Context is important. The line of questioning was trying to determine happened to which she responded with her "what difference" outburst. That was followed by her stating exactly what they were already trying to determine in their questioning.

Upset at his "you didn't build it" comment? No, dumbfounded that he could be so freaking clueless was more what I was thinking.
