Silly to even compare the spending after the TERRORIST ATTACKS of 9/11. You need to find a better argument than that. The main reason we need a Government is the Security of the Nation... Come up with some other BS than that...
It should not have cost Five Trillion to hunt down and kill a bunch of hoodlums hiding in caves.
But we wasted a lot of that money doing thing like Invading Iraq, that had nothing to do with 9/11.
But let's say the war was completely necessary. Okay. Then you do what you did in World War II- you raise taxes to pay for it, you sell war bonds and you keep the higher taxes on until those war bonds are paid down.
What your boy Bush did actually hurt our security. He made more enemies than he killed, he put hostile powers like Iran in a stronger position, and he got 5000 troops killed and 32,000 injured for no good reason. not tomention increasing the national debt by five trillion dollars. Probably a lot more than that, as his policies kept costing money long after he left.
