OK, from that Kirby interview at Fox:
That is exactly what one would EXPECT to see recorded by an object moving towards 11 O'Clock, that has three lights on it. The effect is due to the exposure time being "long" with respect to the speed of the object hence the trails, Further more the right hand yellow/red stripe is due to a light that is flashing and for part of the capture it was red then changed color to yellow.
So we have an object moving quite fast with three flashing lights on - what is the problem here exactly?
