The Dems are on the move for America!!!!!!! You can expect GOOD things to come out of their newfound power in our Congress!!!!!!!



The now Democratic Senate, responding to voter frustration with corruption and special interest influence in Washington, on Thursday overwhelmingly approved far-reaching ethics and lobbying reform legislation.

Under the bill, passed 96-2, senators will give up gifts and free travel from lobbyists, pay more for travel on corporate jets and make themselves more accountable for the pet projects they insert into bills.

It’s only just beginning!!!!!!!!

You know, its a sad day when people watch Congress pass a law to reform itself and don't naturally wonder what they are really up to.

It's human nature to reach for more power. We've already seen this Congress discuss and legislate attempts to stifle free speech. We've already seen them appoint corrupt members to leadership. They couldn't even pass a minimum wage bill without some sort of hidden point of corruption. And so we are supposed to assume Congress can label a bill as something to attack corruption and that in reality it isnt really something to do the exact opposite? You may blindly believe it. But I dont.

Isnt it amazing though? President Bush can do no good and the new Democrat Congress can do no bad. Personally, I pity people who think in that kind of black and white. Its not healthy.
