One of the contemporary manifestations of anti-Jewish bigotry is to expect (or demand) of the Jewish State conduct that is not expected or demanded of any other state under similar circumstances.
Leftist anti-Semites in the U.S. demand that the IDF immediately cease fire, and facilitate the flow of various forms of "relief" to the native population of Gaza. This sentiment is repeated endlessly, not only in these demonstrations, but in the Leftist Media, both U.S and abroad.
But look back a few generations at, say, Japan or Germany in 1943. The Allies, mainly the U.S., were bombing the hell out of cities in Japan and Germany, both of which had initiated wars against the Allies. The targets of the bombings at that point were all civilians.
Was there anyone demanding that the Allies declare a unilateral cease fire and start pouring relief into those German and Japanese cities? HELL no! The Germans and Japanese had started the war, and it was the common knowledge and the HOPE that the Allies would not stop the bombings (etc) until the regimes in power surrendered, unconditionally.
So why is this situation so different? Hamas started the war, and is continuing to fight the IDF as well as Jewish civilian communities to the best of their ability. Why are global Leftists insisting that Israel give the Gazans a break?
There is only one reason. We are talking about Jews now.
Muslims are massacred all over the Middle East constantly. Multiples of the inflated number of deaths in Gaza, and yet nobody gives a shit because those massacres are being carried out by other Muslims.
It is demanded that Israel provide water, food, medical supplies, etc., and yet Gaza also shares a border with Egypt. Why is nobody demanding that Egypt open its border with Gaza and provide the kinds of "relief" that are demanded of the Jewish State? They are all Muslims, are they not?
There is no reason but one: Israel is a Jewish State.
