Has anybody watched this movie yet? Does it make any real points about global warming or is it just a typical Hollywood diasaster flick?

Its mostly a typical hollywood disaster flick, what CAN make it very entertaining is to just ignore any and all political hyperbole about it and just watch it for what it is. If you can do that, its a most excellent and entertaining movie.

the one thing about it that is closest to scientific fact is the north atlantic current issue. Other than that, its just good entertainment.

My sons saw it, they thought the special effects were ordinary-hey they are pretty young. They thought the message was actually anti-environmental, since it was too over the top.

I am not a movie person - I tend to fall asleep during most.
I LOVED this movie - Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!

It Rocks!

I have spoken....it is so....haha!

 :p:

We saw it with some friends, and none of us thought it was worth the admission price. Should have waited until it was released as a rental or borrowed it from the local library.
