Nearly two weeks after the election was called for President-elect Joe Biden, Donald Trump and his legal team continue to advance spurious and dangerous claims that the election was “rigged.” In a press conference on Nov. 19, Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani called the election a “massive fraud,” while an attorney for the Trump campaign, Sidney Powell, alleged without evidence a wide-ranging scheme perpetrated by “massive influence of communist money.” She also appeared to suggest a revolution, comparing this moment to “the 1775 of our generation and beyond.”

But Trump and his allies’ public allegations stand in stark contrast to what his lawyers are actually claiming— bound by professional ethics rules—in election-related cases in court. In three separate lawsuits in Pennsylvania and cases in Arizona and Nevada, Trump’s lawyers have jettisoned sweeping claims of fraud, instead focusing on relatively small-bore complaints.

Why have Trump's lawyers never claimed widespread election fraud in any of their various lawsuits? What do you think?

Here is some more food for thought:

Trump Cries Voter Fraud. In Court, His Lawyers Don’t.

President Trump has claimed widespread fraud was at play in the presidential election. Several of his lawyers have told judges in courtrooms across the country that they don’t believe that to be true.

The Trump campaign or Republican allies have brought lawsuits in several battleground states contesting election results that favored President-elect Joe Biden, seeking to stop the certification of results or have ballots thrown out. Under questioning from judges handling the cases, at least two of Mr. Trump’s lawyers have backed away from suggestions that the election was stolen or fraudulent.

In other instances, attorneys representing Mr. Trump or other Republicans have said under oath they have no evidence of fraud. Lawyers also have struggled to get what they say is evidence of fraud admitted into lawsuits, with judges dismissing it as inadmissible or unreliable.

You've got to clarify...

Are you talking about the time Trump swore there was voter fraud (where he was the victim) in the 2016 Iowa Caucus?
Are you talking about the time Trump swore there was voter fraud (where he was the victim) in the 2016 General?
Are you talking about the time Trump swore there was voter fraud (where he was the victim) in the 2020 General?

Clarify what? The dates on the links speak for themselves - they're about the November 3 election.

I've been asking the same question for weeks.

I've been saying that anyone can say anything they want in public. There are no consequences.

It's a very different situation in court.

If a lawyer or someone lies to a judge in a court of law there are a lot of very bad consequences. Which is why trump's lawyers say two very different things when in court from when they are speaking in public.

The whole thing is nothing but a lie.

Biden won honestly and fairly.

trump lost.

I think that they know that most of their followers don't know or understand that while Trump et al can make all types of false allegations in public as long as they are not naming specific individuals which can then amount to defamation, that they cannot allege the same thing in court without running afoul of some of our laws which were put in place to keep people from using the civil system to harass or abuse others.

Why not a single one of those filings were found to be frivolous is beyond me. I am pretty sure I read somewhere than 4 filings that are dismissed for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted is sufficient grounds for barring the plaintiff from further filings, yet my understanding is that Trump/his team surpassed 70 attempts with only one ruling in their favor.

Because all the liberal judges threw them out. There was no talking about it. You scammed it.

How many times is this going to be asked? geezus, you people should learn to read.

People don't seem to realize that many things can be true at once. Such as...

1. There were some CRAZY statistical oddities, irregularities and weird circumstances in this election, ones that have never happened before. Multiple states changed their own laws at the last second, which isn't at all in the spirit of free and honest elections. And, Fraud happens in every election, and there were documented cases where it was very easy to commit. There appears to be many fragile doorways in our domestic voting system.

2. But yet, I follow Conservatism, which stands by the Democratic ideal that people are innocent until proven guilty, and crimes must be proven in court. Thus, I have superior standards to the left (See the Russian Collusion Push, Brett Kavanaugh, etc.) As of now, there simply is not sufficient evidence to overturn anything whatsoever, and even if there were, electors have already been sealed.

In 2016, the entire Democrat leadership and base thought they were robbed, or as Pelosi said, "the election was hiijacked". Now, it's 2020, and some Republicans think they were robbed. Same dance, just a different tune. Both are allowed to bring up contentions, both are allowed to follow a legal process. Both did. Neither produced much of anything.

So what is there to complain about? This is pretty much status quo given 2016. Lose Election, claim it was stolen. That's what Hilary and Dems did, that's what Trump is doing now. Yet, we're meant to believe Trump is some unique historical outlier. It's a BS narrative. The problem for those peddling it is that most of the US Public is more than 4 years old.

It'll be interesting to see, over time, how many see the fog lift from this con.

I'd guess many won't admit it. They'll just stick with the fraud fantasy.

To get THERE, you will need a complete and open audit of every vote cast, with verified signatures for each and every one of them and ARRESTS made in every case where fraud is discovered.
