If everyone follows the guide lines and commandments that the Bible puts forth they will have eternal life, why anyone would go against it and or put it down as a worthless religious book is beyond explanation.
Well, the guidelines and commandments that you suggest everyone follows is death by stoning for those who disobey the commandments. Some guidelines huh and worthy of worthlessness I would say.
There are many of us Christians that think that everyone has to believe what we believe. The majority of Christians ARE supposed to work to help people believe in Him also, but they do it the wrong way.
First of all, I don't agree with Charlie Bass that you only go to Heaven if you do what the Bible tells you. The Bible gives us direction on how we should live our lives. I've been taught, and it says this directly in the Bible (not exactly word for word) that all we need is FAITH the size of a mustard seed, and we will see heaven. All we need is to believe that Jesus came to earth as a man and died for our sins. There is NOTHING else you NEED to do. Many non-believers do alot of the things it tells us to do in the Bible, but not because the Bible tells them to, but because they know it's the right thing to do. That's not going to get them to Heaven. They need Faith. The so called christians that do all kinds of nice things for people, and follow the laws that are in the bible, but they don't truly have faith that Jesus is there for them and will do what he says he'll do, will also not make it to Heaven.
We are not going to help anyone to become believers by name calling, telling them how wrong they are, and just being stupid about it. We are told NOT TO JUDGE others, that's up to God. We are no better than anyone else in this life...you can't force anyone to have faith. They have to learn that part by themselves. God Bless!
