My Chinese friend put it this way:

"The reason asian men have tiny penises is because asian women have tiny vaginas."

Accepting the claim that East Asians are smarter because of X reason without any empirical support is indicative of low intelligence. You cannot dismiss any theory as being false on the basis of your own narrow and biased conception of the reality. There are empirical data that suggests that East Asian have higher IQ partly because of genetics, and this even though IQ tests were designed by Westerners and tends to favor them.

Moreover, if East Asians were not creative, the lack thereof would be noticeable in all fields of intellectual and artistic endeavor. There is no test that can measure intelligence nor creativity. Tests can only make gross estimates. It was suggested that creativity and intelligence arise from the same cognitive processes. This is because, in my opinion, intelligence and creativity are not reducible to a simple numerical value, and tests can only make gross estimates of them, leading to low correlations between the two.

Pretty much...it was interesting to see that despite a lower IQ in some areas they tried harder and got the job anyway.

Shows, IMO, that IQ doesn't really matter beyond a certain point when it comes to success.

actually life itself is an IQ test. your intelligence strongly influences every decision you make. that is why smart people live longer.

People with high IQ's often have difficulty predicting what is well known because they base it on what they know.

That is true. I can't count the number of times it's got me into trouble, assuming that because I know something that everyone does. A high IQ is a gift, and a curse.... and, it means very little really. Being smart is one thing - using that intellect is another thing entirely.
