What is it with these green, blue states with all of their regulations? First it was California and now Washington State. Are their policies not working?

Multiple people were injured in a chemical vat implosion at a facility in Washington state, authorities said.

The incident was reported Tuesday morning at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company in Longview, fire authorities said.

The "hazardous materials incident" occurred at approximately 7:18 a.m., the Longview Fire Department said. The implosion involved a vat of chemical treatment product, it said. Authorities initially referred to the incident as a chemical explosion.

explosions dont happen any place else?..

A tank acid tank implosion is what finally caused a Rayon plant in my AO to close. The poor guy, they only found enough of him to tote away in a five gallon bucket.

The states are just the locations for private enterprise production facilities. Both involve product production that includes hazardous ('Handle With Care') methods. Often in such cases there is a low threshold for errors so I wouldn't be surprised if these are tagged as "Operator Error".

Hopefully not indicative of results from declining quality of American education in blue collar labor.

BTW, the California episode is at the bottom of the link after the Washington one.
