The 77-year marriage between the US and Europe. Is divorce imminent?

No, they won’t because their populace is too spoiled to sacrifice on national security.

Or they realize spending billions on missiles that don't hit their targets while their people go homeless is a bad idea.

Now, if only we could figure that out.

I'd be all for pulling out of Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, and taking those billions we spend on an impotent military and using them to buy houses and invest in renewable energies.

But that would be America acting in her own interest and not that of our Zionist Overlords.

Accidents happen. Could have been bad intel. We all know it was an accident because there was zero reason to do it otherwise.

Could have been a crazy person in the White House and a drunk at the Pentagon ignoring intel and not bothering to find out what they were bombing before they bombed it.

But, shit, it's not like those girls were white, amiright?

Iran threatened us by telling us they had stockpiles of 60% uranium. Sensible folks realize that a nuclear Iran would be a very bad thing for the ME and the world. Something had to be done. Obama’s nuclear deal was just a way for Iran to grift money and still over-enrich on the side, which is exactly what they were doing.

Iran didn't get a bomb because of Obama's deal. The Technology isn't that complicated; it's over 80 years old.

If anything is a bad thing, a nuclear-armed Israel is a real threat. They've attacked a dozen countries in my lifetime. Iran has never started a war since the Shah was shown the door.

The new Pax Americana: United States, Israel, Russian Federation, Belarus, North Korea, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Hungary

In opposition: China, Europe, and dozens allied nations.

Not sure why you are counting Russia in that group. Russia is far more aligned with China than with us.

Your childish idealism is showing again.

More childish idealism. Grow up.

Neither Trump nor Hegseth are involved in every target in Iran.

The idea that it was racial or on purpose is absurd.
If anything is a bad thing, a nuclear-armed Israel is a real threat.

They need it for self-defense against the radical Muslims that you love so much. They haven’t chosen to use them for decades despite having plenty of reason to do so.

Do they, though?

The US and the EU do $1.6 trillion in trade every year. (By way of comparison, the US and China do $800 billion in trade every year.)
Europe makes very little we need. We make everything they need and manufacturing is leaving Europe and coming here. Europe is in decline due to renewable energy socialism and immigration

Manufacturing in Europe is currently facing a period of significant deindustrialization, driven by high energy costs, intense global competition, and a shifting regulatory environment. While Central and Eastern European nations like
Slovakia
and
Czechia
remain industrial strongholds, larger economies such as
Germany
and
France
have seen sharp declines in manufacturing output and employment.
Strategic Perspectives +2

Core Factors Driving the Exodus
  • High Energy Costs: The permanent shift away from cheap Russian gas following the 2022 energy crisis has left energy-intensive industries like chemicals, steel, and aluminum struggling to remain competitive.
  • Global Competition & Subsidies: European firms are increasingly squeezed between massive subsidies in the
    United States
(via the Inflation Reduction Act) and
    China's
dominance in emerging sectors like electric vehicles (EVs) and batteries.
  • Regulatory Complexity: Strict environmental standards and fragmented national regulations have led some firms, particularly in the pharmaceutical and energy startup sectors, to relocate research and production to markets with more favorable scaling conditions.
  • Trade Turmoil: Recent or proposed tariffs, including those from the U.S., have introduced uncertainty that delays investment and recovery in sectors like automotive and machinery.
    EFPIA +8

Impacted Industries and Regions
  • Chemicals: Major plant closures have been announced by firms such as Ineos and Arlanxeo, particularly in
    Germany
    .
  • Automotive: European carmakers like Volkswagen and Michelin have announced significant job cuts and plant closures as they adapt to the EV transition and foreign competition.
  • Regional Decline: Heavy job losses have hit historic industrial hubs such as the
    Ruhr
    (Germany)
    ,
    Hauts-de-France
    (France)
    , and
    Silesia
    (Poland)
    .

EU Policy Responses
In early 2026, the European Union introduced the "Made in Europe" plan (Industrial Accelerator Act) to counter this decline. Key measures include:
Financial Post +4
  • Local Content Requirements: Prioritizing local companies in public spending for strategic sectors like wind, solar, and nuclear.
  • Predictable Investment: Creating a more stable environment for green technologies to ensure the "green transition" remains an industrial opportunity rather than a cause for further decline.

We need those bases in Europe to engage in our endless wars

Idealism is putting America first. You want to put Israel first.

Neither Trump nor Hegseth are involved in every target in Iran.

The idea that it was racial or on purpose is absurd.

So you are arguing that they were merely incompetent? That doesn't make it better, really.

They need it for self-defense against the radical Muslims that you love so much. They haven’t chosen to use them for decades despite having plenty of reason to do so.
YOu mean they need to defend themselves because they are squatting on ARAB LAND?

Israel isn't a peaceful nation. They've attacked Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Iran, Sudan, Qatar and oddly enough, Uganda during my lifetime.

They are a freaking menace.

Israel was always attacked first. Jews lived there 3000 yeas before Islam existed

The first thing that must be protected is our country. Without protection, all the other fluffy stuff you clowns want won’t be possible.

I am saying they made a mistake during a conflict. They targeted thousands of things and messed up on one. They likely had intel that it was a weapon’s depot of some sort.

YOu mean they need to defend themselves because they are squatting on ARAB LAND?

Please, stop with that nonsense. I am not going to get into the history of the area with you again. You are hopeless.

Western European countries are most of the problem. They are over the top spoiled lefty idealists. They are exactly where our current Democratic Party is headed. China, Russia and N. Korea are sitting back and watching leftism weaken us and Western Europe. They LOVE it.
Trump demands Greenland be handed over to the US because he wants it.

But yeah, it’s Europe that’s spoiled.

Trump has taken aim at NATO and Greenland in recent days. "It all began with, if you want to know the truth, Greenland," Trump told reporters at a White House press conference Monday. "We want Greenland. They don't want to give it to us. And I said, 'bye, bye.'"

NATO has taken advantage of us its time to change, reduce our commitment to them. Trump got what he wanted in Greenland. Both these issues are about American security
