Except that the Mullahs are only interested in one thing, power and ruling their country and are not interested in their people at all. Back when the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, Japan cared about their citizens and surrendered. Don't expect that from the mullahs. You could even nuke the entire country and the mullahs would still try hanging onto power.
