The House is more numerous, let people vote for Reps, not Senators

All those millions spent on campaigns! That alone is reason to reject the 17th!

millions, billions spent just on getting a chance to go to the great Feed Trough in DC... when the State legislatures could appoint them..

How about spending those billions in campaign dollars on affordable housing for poor or middle class americans?

Why shouldn't the people be able to vote for the person they want representing them? As often noted, we have term limits if we want them. We don't seem to.

In the real world, of course, unseating an incumbent is very difficult, simply because just being the incumbent gives many advantages.
