It serves a good purpose, but like virtually every federal government agency, has exceeded its greatest value and largely gets in the way now.

I don't know about you, but I don't live in a stark, black/white world. There are many things the government did and does that have a noble purpose in the beginning, but once taken hold, grow beyond usefulness and are impervious to correction.

Like everyone else, I have an opinion, and I like my food being of superior quality when I buy it from people I don't know. I also like the freedom to make a deal with a local farmer and cut the government out of it if I so wish.

If you don't like my opinion, feel free to ignore it. Of course, you could rant on about it and drag in a bunch of unrelated stuff so you can talk about your real issues, but that's on you.
