As originally a Texan---FUCK the USSC, if Texas wants to leave--they are leaving the USSC too..The USSC already decided secession wasn't legal, over seven score and four years ago.

I was born and raised in Texas--I remember growing up that we were always told that when Texas joined the Union, that we reserved the right to leave when we desired. Don't think the federal government would allow it, but let's face it--Biden is a weak leader who is destroying the US military----Texas could do it and they are quirky enough to do it.
So is fraud.Secession is an act of war.
You guys wouldn't even defend trump when the election was stolen from him, and you're telling me you're going to fight a war against America?
Funny, TEXAS can split up into 5 STATES by law----that would give them 10 senators instead of 2. Maybe that is how to do it....split the state up-----insuring 10 republican senators and viola---US congress may want to get rid of them.If they vote to leave and Congress votes to let them go.......it's ok.
In 1974, I traded a 1963 Ford Galaxy that was in pretty good shape for a half acre of land. The guy polished it up and stored it in a garage, and only drove it occasionally on weekends, and lately only in parades and car shows. Using your logic, I have the right to take back my agreement and exchange that half acre to get that car back.Texas DOES have a right to secede according to those who know the law and Constitution
Andrew Napolitano is an attorney who has studied the US Constitution and he says that Lincoln was wrong to go to war to keep the states together, that they have a right to secede
it makes sense
when the country was being formed, the leaders needed all the states to ratify the Union and Constitution
if they have the right to agree to it, they have the right to take back their agreement.. the right to secede... Remember the words of the early documents... that if, after a long string of usurpations... people find it necessary to throw off the bonds... (I will get the exact words soon but you know them or should .)
How is it OK to abandon Americans to a system where their rights will be as arbitrary as a woman in Saudi Arabia? There would be no equal protection, due process or habeas corpus anywhere to seen. In sort order there would thousands sentenced to a lifetime of forced labor just like N Korea. The mass graves would follow shortly. If they vote to leave and Congress votes to let them go.......it's ok.
You be sure to hold your breath till that happens BooBoo.Ft Sumter was just the same as strict abortion laws. ( not that I necessarily agree with them, but as devil's advocate in this argument)....Okay. ( that's sarcasm btw)
Texas will do what they want, but they won't secede over abortion.
A stolen election ? Probably, as other states would join them.
That is impressive but Texas might just decide they don’t give a damn what SCOTUS rules. If Texas secedes it will feel rulings by American courts are irrelevant.Don't worry, the USSC already ruled in 1869 that Texas isn't (and can't) go anywhere.
Bullets will fly.Well, I suppose they will be shit out of luck, unless the government of Texasstan decides to take up the duty of taking care of their senior citizens. Good luck, because the attitude of most Texass pols seems to be "I got mine, fuck all y'all."
Bullets will fly.
You know my spiel on TV stations. Everyday 95% of the chatter is from verbal insurrectionists pushing people with the audacity of not being Progressive Socialists in voting. Being a Democrat is becoming open season now. Throttle this back a bit and it would drop the blood pressure all around. This is not about the Non Progs, its about the failures of the humongous state and all the programs that have not mad all have comfortable lives.Well, they DO like to keep whining about it.
As was said, it's illegal to secede, already decided over a century ago in Texas v White (USSC) 1869.Well, the Democrats proved that's not true, but if a state secedes, it's citizens are no longer United States citizens.
Hmm, I’ve heard differently. I think Texas has the right to split up into like 6 different states, which would give them many more Senators.Texas DOES have a right to secede according to those who know the law and Constitution
