I get the protest move. But at the end of the day, you're playing right into the hands of the GOP who'd rather not spend money on public safety, regulations, etc... And, oh yeah, you're going to lose anyway. Why not stage your tantrum on the House floor where there are TV cameras, let the people see the GOP goon squad arrest you while doing your job instead of self-marginalizing????

The focus IS on redistricting thanks to Trump's lapdogs who did an about face on the agenda & steered it into another exercise in showing that the former GOP is nothing but an organization of spineless cowards who will do whatever Trump orders them to.

Btw, if Trump & his cowards in Congress didn't screw over millions of people in that bill, redistricting wouldn't be needed. They can't win on their merits & they know it.

Yep...its' right where the GOP wants it to be. Nobody is talking about the fact that there are still bodies missing from their decades of mis-management and relaxation of regulation. The GOP couldn't have scripted a better press cycle than the ones the Dems are giving them.

I'm not sure what the motives of the Democratic Party are but with most political parties the motivation is to win as many offices as possible. If you can name one voter who is going to be gained by leaving the state...please tell me who they are. The list won't be long, I can assure you.

Compare that action with a principled stand on ensuring public safety where you may just win some votes.
