Texas Democrats flee the state to Illinois.

Well there's that Dem respect for democracy, voters and the will of the people again. Democrats are 150% full of SHIT!
people said in an election they wanted redistricting lines drawn, and demofks think they own it.

It’s not illegal, but it is an attempt to twist democracy. Redistricting is done after the census, not halfway ‘til the next one, unless there’s an attempt to steal peoples’ votes.
redistricting is done when the people ask for it. Who the fk said after census? demofks so they can bus and fly in illegals? ahahhahahaha demofks don't own districts.

Our government should not be segregating things by race. We already know we got a fuckton of races here, ain't nobody got time for that.

What Texas Republicans are doing it clearly a move based on desperation..
The democrats are fleeing the state, but the republicans are desperate.

Can you be any more stupid? (Rhetorical question BTW).

Was Texas even a slave state? I'm thinking not.
Florida definitely was the runaway slave state. :auiqs.jpg:
That's how it was, if they made it south of this river. I'm a bad man, it's either the St. Mary's river, or St. John's river,
they were considered free men and eligible for employment and buying property or whatever.
That's history. We've all been in this thing together for a long time.

"Texas Democrats leave the state to prevent vote on GOP-drawn congressional map"

Yep, North Carolinan Republicans are famous for it, now Texas wants to do it, so the Democrats left the state, now the republicans want to kick them out of office for trying to stop blatant cheating.

Seems Trump's dictatorial ways are spreading.

"
Texas House Democrats left the state in a desperate bid to block an aggressively partisan redrawing of the state’s congressional map orchestrated by Republicans with the support of President Donald Trump.

The last-ditch attempt Sunday adds kerosene to an already smoldering political battle in the Lone Star State that has significant repercussions in Washington, where House Republicans enter a challenging midterm landscape with a razor-thin majority.

In a hostile response, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott threatened late Sunday to remove lawmakers who don’t show up when the state House convenes Monday afternoon, equating the absence to an “abandonment or forfeiture of an elected state office.”"
Crockett's district is going away so she will as well....

Yes TX was a slave state

NY's process took 4 years after the census, and unless Texas law limits it to every 10 years, there is no legal issue here.

I never said there was a legal issue with what Texas is doing. It is, however, unethical and antithesis to representative government. They wouldn't be doing this if they thought they wouldn't lose the House next year and it's setting off a chain reaction in which other states are countering what they're doing with their own.

Out of 435 Congressional districts, only 35 were decided by less than five points last year. That's how gerrymandered our maps have become. Only 35 competitive seats and now it's going to get even worse. This is not representative government; it's an oligarchy.

No, leftardo shill, no.
What they are doing is unDEI-ing the Texas districts as per The Civil Rights Act that many Americans fought, bled,
and died for, including Martin Luther King Jr.. Hundreds of thousands fought for that, blacks did not do it alone.
And Obama did really bad by all of them. Our government should not be segregating things by race.
Agree, or no?
Dems hate it when we do that.
