Teachers Freaking Out Over Trump

Religion.

How have you missed this? They mandated bibles as "educational materials" and set standards that exactly matched only tRump's version.

It's been all over the news.
You mean the bullshit MSM.

Reality is very different from the bullshit MSM.

I ought to know, I had two kids in school in Oklahoma.

Both of whom are now Ivy League.

(Pats self and wife on back).

You’ve got it backwards, for the past forty years liberals have been using teachers to push their anti-American agenda.
Really? I was a teacher for 21 of those 40 years and never saw a thing. My kids and grandkids have been in schools for 34 of those last 40 years and have never seen a thing. Are we all blind?

Exactly how do you dismantle public schools? Most public schools do an awesome job despite the efforts of woke administrations.
Horseshit.

40% of high school graduates can't read and can't do math.

I call that an awesomely rotten job.

That's good because Federal involvement by the Dept of Ed. never did anything good for education in America whatsoever.
Tell that to the black kids in the deep south that were not getting an education in the 60s and 70s before the feds stepped in. They freely ignored Brown v. Board with impunity.

I swear the average American is so stupid in regard to education that they will believe any of the bullshit critic's spout.

What's wrong with Trump handing out Bibles to everyone?

Yeah but for once this topic isn't about indoctrination or punishment of the students, these teachers were WAY out of line as pushing politics into the classroom shouldn't be allowed unless it's teaching social studies and history and stuff. Not one's own politics though. Surely you can agree with me on that part at least. As hopefully that doesn't happen at the school where you teach.

Did I say that he was?

Actually I recently found out that the separation of church and state is nowhere in the US Constitution.

You JUST found that out? Really?

I'm sure your public school teachers are at fault that you didn't know it, right? We were too busy "indoctrinating", I'm sure.

Right. We taught all this.

You were talking.

Just because they did something good 50 years ago doesn't justify their inflated budget now.

Teachers if they were smart enough to teach your children... would understand that under Trump's plan they could finally be paid what they deserve.... I can see a huge pay hike when the 30 or so different department of education offices in DC are abolished...
The federal government has zero impact on teacher pay which is controlled by local schools. Your ignorance of reality is not complimentary.

And how often is that sucsessful?

My son came home with a reading list that included books calling white people satanic. He has never once come home with Christian doctrine in his reading list.

One of these things is laughed at everywhere but deep deep deep red areas where 10 people live. One of these things is pushed in virtually every major city in the nation.

They are not equivalent.
A reading list that includes books calling white people satanic. I’m not buying that. You’re welcome to provide what you’re referring to.

Additionally, it sure as hell doesn’t seem like you guys would have an issue with Christian indoctrination.

Used to. Not anymore. We do not do an "awesome job" anymore for these reasons:

1. The kids are not all right

2. As the kids are increasingly "not all right", we are asked to take on more and more

3. As we take on more and more, parents demand more and more. Right down to helping toilet train their (normally developing) children, fix their social habits, etc

4. We are burning out and quitting in record numbers

5. While these conservatives go on and on about "indoctrination", the real crisis is in parenting and whatever is making kids literally nuts

I never said it did, and their budget is not inflated. All that fed money gets fed to the schools. Apparently, you do not understand school funding. I think the Education Department needs to be drastically cut, but it does some good. Eliminating the entire program is throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Maybe your school is not, but gutting the federal program will not improve that. Now, will it? You have a special ed problem. Most schools do not. I have three grandchildren that are or were special education students at one point.

Teachers UNION(commies) are as much a threat to America as the profe$$ional envirowhacko$. Fire them all!
Allowing teacher union influence on curriculum did not exist before COVID. The pandemic allowed unions to insert themselves into a power structure in liberal states where it never existed before. Administrators of schools just simply need to grow a backbone and ignore their attempts to influence instruction not related to teacher's working conditions.

They make more at a private school. Most Trumpers know that they don't know enough to home school.
You are really full of shit, did you know that? Private schools pay a mere pittance of what public schools pay. Why do you think public schools have any teachers at all if that were true?

You misspelled "idiot". The system is broken. You fix it, not throw it away because you can't come up with a new one.
First step in fixing it is address the OUTCOME.

Shitcan the lowest common denominator mentality.

Bring back special classes for the gifted. Bring back after school projects. Jettison the fear of leftard lawsuits.

We need our kids to SUCCEED, not be held back by the stupid and fearful.
