Zone1 Tax the Rich! Make them Pay their Fair Share!

i zoned away at 'at least 33 feet'... turns into very Satanic / Masonic crap after that, i'm sure :p
"Satanic / Masonic"? No idea what you're talking about. Pretty certain this British guy who blogs about "Yachts For Sale" knows the difference between boats and yachts. Good thing to thoroughly appreciate after idiot Cellblock2429's shameless conflation of the two.

/—-/ What post did I conflate boats vs yachts? You missed my point completely.

/—-/ Link.
You should learn how to google - i got this via their topmost autocomplete item for 'bbb tax' which amounted to 'bbb tax changes' :p

/——-/ Stop stealing peoples wealth that has already been taxed. Trump is putting an end to your theft.
“ the federal government collected $24 billion that otherwise would have flowed to the heirs and heiresses of those estates. “

A couple of years ago, at a family function (graduation party), the subject of taxation came up. It wasn't me that brought it up, but I did make the mistake of kicking the hornets' nest.

The subject was mostly about the economy and Trump (again, it wasn't me), and one of my in-laws said something about "tax cuts for the rich," or "the rich not paying their fair share."

I wanted a clear answer and explanation for how to know or calculate what "their fair share" should be. That's all.

You would have thought I threatened them with a gun or something.

Needless to say, I never got an answer.

In my view, each and every citizens "tax burden" should initially be the same dollar amount. Thereafter, there should be taxes based on usage. For example, if you have a trucking company with 200 trucks running up and down the road every day.

My reasoning goes like this.

If Trump, Musk, or any other Billionaire were standing in line to buy a gallon of milk at the grocery store, should their cost for their gallon of milk be exponentially higher than what I pay, just because they have and make more money than I do?

In my view, fairness means we all pay the same.

Change My Mind.
If rich people pay half their money in taxes, which amounts to more tax money than all the lower strata taxes combined, what's the definition of fair?

/——/ Two things liberals can’t define.
1. What is a woman.
2. What is a fair tax.

To link these 2 liberal agenda items, is entirely unfair and therefore a premeditated insult designed to provoke them.
And while I'm a centrist, I'm also taking a stance on the liberal side, just because of your stupidity here.
The term 'Trump Grandiosity Syndrome' comes to mind.

And we can design fair taxes. Just leave it to the centrists. We outnumber extremists on all sides combined.

What's a liberal? Do they label people too and call people names or is that centrist, I thought it was a leftist. I'm confused again. What day is it?

So you can't do it. My mistake. I tried. Sorry.
/—-/ Hey dumbazz. Yachts are included in the boating industry. GEEEZE My point was when a rich guy buys a yacht, it affects the economy in a positive way by creating jobs, and tax revenue.
“Yachts are recreational watercraft, typically over 33 feet in length, designed for pleasure, cruising, or racing, and often equipped with cabins for overnight use. The boating industry encompasses all activities related to the design, manufacturing, and operation of boats and yachts, focusing on leisure and luxury experiences on the water”. Wikipedia

I begrudge them soda and candy. That $1000 supplement will go far if spent wisely.

And true, I wouldn’t enjoy life as a welfare recipient. That’s why I didn’t have children out of wedlock, went to college and majored in a marketable field, and worked my way up until I was skilled and experienced enough to start my own business.

Hypocrite:

I once had a pregnancy scare - about a week late, which never happened. When I told my boyfriend about it, he said “well, we’ll just get rid of it.” When I told him I couldn’t do that, he said if I decided to keep it, that I earned enough money and that he wouldn’t be involved in the support. Clearly, the guys like the idea that the woman get get rid of it, and they‘d be off the hook.

It was a coin flip's chance that you didn't have children out of wedlock; clearly you were not very responsible.

Our government's primary role is national defense so it's my view that taxation should be priced similar to the cost of insurance. The more one has to lose the more one should pay.

The wealthy benefit from the military more than working Americans
