Swedish covidiot strategy flops -people die

We are debating the concept of acceptable casualties.
What about obesity? Thats 300k deaths a year.
Why dont you tyrants ever try to shut dowb McDonald's?
Its like you people are CRAVING instability.
People who can't control their diets and have portion control issues have to solve their own problems.
Cars. Swimming pools. Want more?
There are laws for decreasing risks of operating cars and swimming pools.

That's what risk assesement is about sometimes.

"One death is too many" is a nice feeewings statement, but if you took it seriously you would have to lock everyone in their houses and have the army patrol the streets in NBC gear for 6 months.
Lowering risks via advice from a consensus of scientists, statisticians, and doctors seem like a wise decision.

what consensus? You cherry pick the advice you like and try to pass it off as proven fact.

The original curves turned out to be wrong, the estimates NY gave for needed beds and ventilators turned out to be wrong, now they are saying the viability of the virus on surfaces may be lower than they thought.

Nothing has been proven, lockdown strategy, herd strategy, mixes of the two, mortality rates, effective treatment regimens, all of it.

There. is. no. concensus. Anyone saying differently has and angle to play, probably a political one.

Sweden has now overtaken the UK, Italy and Belgium to have the highest coronavirus per capita death rate in the world, throwing its decision to avoid a strict lockdown into further doubt.

According to figures collated by the Our World in Data website, Sweden had 6.08 deaths per million inhabitants per day on a rolling seven-day average between May 13 and May 20.

This is the highest in the world, above the UK, Belgium and the US, which have 5.57, 4.28 and 4.11 respectively.

Well, well, well. What a fucking disaster. Stay home, stay safe.

Sweden ranks 8th in deaths per capita, behind the UK.

and one thing people still forget is different places consider cause of death differently.

If a person with terminal emphysema dies while having COVID, is a COVID death or an emphysema death? Is it both?
Do we divide it up like they divide up sacks in Football?

However, Sweden has only had the highest death rate over the past week, with Belgium, Spain, Italy, the UK and France, still ahead over the entire course of the pandemic.

Lets wait and see what the final result is a year from now

For the liberal only today matters. Ever notice that? Only this very instant. Liberalism is truly a mental illness and insanely dangerous to civilization. They will have to be dealt with.

A year from now, this whole Corona Panic will be over, the economy will be booming under Trump, and the libs will be taking credit for it.
Hopefully the economy will be recovering but the shutdown is doing serious and long-lasting economic damage

Waiting a year to do what? Decide that social distancing and staying at home provide the surest methods to prevent becoming infected?!!.
According to the story sweden still has fewer deaths per million than the UK or US
Countries that had no strategy at all. They are a lot worse than those countries who took it seriously. New Zealand comes to mind.
Every country on your list took the chinese disease seriously

including sweden

I may have posted this already but a local cardiologist here where I live recently placed a full page ad in the local paper warning that his patients were dying because of the China Virus scare and pointing out that hospitals here are empty of patients.

I wonder how many died in New York as the liberals lied and said they would need 50,000 ventilators and a hospital ship when in fact it was less than 10% of that and the 1000 bed hospital ship topped out at 73 patients.

Liberalism is deadly.

This is happening in every anglo-saxon country.

Read your link you stupid son-of-a-bitch.

It's over a seven day average of May 13-May 20.

They are still well below the rest of you fuckers in overall numbers.

How you assholes be so stupid.

Our liberal friends embrace the ideology of the tremendous Russian thinker , Fyodor Dostoevsky. They really don't give a shit about quality of life.

"Where is it I've read that someone condemned to death says or thinks, an hour before his death, that if he had to live on some high rock, on such a narrow ledge that he'd only room to stand, and the ocean, everlasting darkness, everlasting solitude, everlasting tempest around him, if he had to remain standing on a square yard of space all his life, a thousand years, eternity, it were better to live so than to die at once! Only to live, to live and live! Life, whatever it may be!...How true it is! Good God, how true! Man is a vile creature!...And vile is he who calls him vile for that"

Almost 2 "extra" deaths per day, per million, compared to the US. 10 million Swedes.
20 extra per day times 365 days. 7300 per year.
Versus crushing their economy and causing extra deaths that way.

Of course, compared to the UK and their awesome NHS, only 1862 extra deaths per year.

He's lying in his OP anyway.

Fucking brit.

Sweden reporting about 10% of Britans deaths today. Even though they have 20% of the population of the U.k.

I'd say hilarious.....but it isn't.
