The 24 and 25 average rate of employment is 4.3% as of April. It started softening in 2023 during Biden’s tenure. 4.3% is low by historical standards, despite ~350k public sector layoffs. The unemployment rate is not a significant issue at the moment, but Democrat are attempting to make it an issue.
