Due to 40 years of being in the field, I'm big on "results count" and a supporter of both cost/benefit analysis and risk/benefit analysis. Blowing billions annually on a measure physical measure that "only makes things a little harder" isn't as efficient as enforcing laws and imprisoning the Americans who are hiring, exploiting and profiting off of illegal immigration.

IMO, "the Wall" is a distraction away from the corporations that are profiting off the status quo. The fact is, Republicans have a lot more to gain from gerrymandering and the Supreme Court decision because democrats have been cheating for far too long and don't have as much room to cheat further. But, God bless them, they still try anyway, like in Minnesota recently where lawmakers refused to remove dead people from the voting rolls.
