Military service gives you zero extra rights. Nothing less American than that statement.
Everybody similarly situated should have the same exact rights.
If you're an American citizen, far from home, whether or not you wear a uniform, shouldn't deny you equal protection.

Nobody advocates the non-eligible be allowed to vote.
But they want as many eligible voters to get to vote.
And finding ways of making it more convenient for more people to legally vote.

Nope, you just pretend that it's about eligible voters and not about harvesting and other fraud.

Exactly what problems does it cause?
They leave out the "October surprise"
Having to mail in your ballot in late October in order to have it received by election day, means you voted based on old information.

And you pretend Jim Crow laws were just about election integrity.

Please prove that I ever did that, if you can.

Jim Crow laws were about raw power, enabled by the shit SC decision Plessey.

Meanwhile the modern left wants to abandon color blindness, espoused in Harlan's dissent, for "equity" which is just the government or people in power putting their finger on the scale for whatever group they want to come out ahead.

Interesting to admit that. Since Trump wants whites, like south Afrikaners to freely populate the US, while deporting blacks and muslims back to where they came from.

Please. First of all blacks usually reference African Americans who's families have been here for probably 100 years longer than mine.

We want to get rid of the fake asylum refugees defrauding our country and turning some of our locations into Sharia zones.

And those Afrikaner farmers are experiencing actual government mandated repression. The good people who brokered the 1994 deal to share power have all died off on BOTH sides, and now the revenge has begun.

Trump wants to overturn by EO the 14th amendment, which is what gave those African Americans who got here 100 years before you did, citizenship.

Trumps interpretation of the 14th, would make a huge number of African Americans, even those here for over 10 generation, deportable status.

They don't need it anymore. It did its original job

Wow, that last line is complete and utter bullshit

SCOTUS has ruled that Mississippi’s state law permitting counting mail in ballots arriving after election day controls the election process there. SCOTUS found the state law is not pre-empted by current Federal laws.

Supreme Court rules mail-in ballots arriving after Election Day can be counted

A decision against such ballots could have upended election procedures in states across the country ahead of the midterm elections.

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld a Mississippi law that allows officials to tally mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day that arrive later, a decision that keeps voting procedures in place in several states as the midterm elections loom. In an 5-4 ruling, the justices turned aside a challenge by Republicans and Libertarians, who argued federal law preempts a Mississippi statute that allows the counting of such ballots that arrive up to five days after polls close.

The decision could make less likely similar legal challenges in 14 states that allow the counting of ballots that arrive days or weeks after polls close. Most states require mail-in ballots to be received by Election Day.

President Donald Trump and some Republican allies have falsely argued that voter fraud is rampant in mail-in balloting. Trump partly blamed his loss in the 2020 presidential election on mail-in votes and unsuccessfully called on states to stop tallying them during the contest.

Republicans in a number of states have launched legal challenges to mail-in voting, which has grown in popularity since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. One study found about 1 in 3 voters voted by mail in 2024, but the practice is more widespread in Democratic-leaning states.
if soldiers dont have to follow unlawful orders from POTUS do the people have to follow unlawful rulings from SCOTUS??

asking for a friend,,

Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts joined the liberal justices to approve mail-in ballots that arrive after election day. This was a bad decision as it will taint all future elections and create distrust among many Americans in the integrity of our elections. Barrett and Roberts have done tremendous damage to our country.

I have to nitpick.

The USSC did not aporove ballots that arrive after election day. The ruled that nothing in federal law forbid states from accepting them.

A window of several days could be a good way to make sure that everybody's vote gets counted. But the democrats of course, had to figure out a way to make that into an opportunity to cheat, as we saw so blatantly in los angeles.

So we need federal legislation to put a stop to it. The party that sometimes loses when there is a cheating now has both houses and the White House. But because of some angry RINOs, such legislation is being held up.

The postmark on or before election day.
What happens should the postal service make a mistake and deliver a box of ballots the day after certification, and they are enough to tip the election the other way? That's what I mean by there has to be a hard line.

As they say in sports. The decision of the referee is final.

:laugh2:

as far as dealing with Marty goes...

:trolls:

After a few posts it just becomes a circle jerk with that guy.

And the referee goes by the rule book that lays out the rules that he has to apply. He can't just make up stuff on the spot and expect to keep his job.

Tell you what, I'll be the referee and decide what gets counted and what does not. That good with everybody?
