And I assume you disagree with what Gavin Newsom is attempting to do in California, which would be an even more egregious gerrymander than what Texas is doing? Democrats in Maryland attempted to submit a map that would have handed them all eight House seats in the state. The only reason they were stopped is because Maryland has a Republican Supreme Court. You oppose that also, I assume, correct?

Yes, I do. It is wrong, just like the egregious gerrymandering in TX and FL is wrong. But the bottom line is that there is only one populated Democratic state that is heavily gerrymandered -- Illinois.

There are several populated states on the Republican side that are heavily gerrymandered. -- TX, FL, OH, and GA.

And two states that are 50/50 are badly gerrymandered toward the Republicans also. -- NC and WI.

This map, in LA, was explicitly drawn on the basis of the race of the population. If race is not considered, a rational map will be drawn and mostly likely, the two seats will go to Republicans.
